Worth getting off I8

We were a little apprehensive upon pulling up. Boy were we wrong. It's a no frills kind of place with excellent food. We both got the green burrito. This thing had to weigh a pound to 1/2 pounds. There was so much pork it was unbelievable. I think they skimped on the rice and beans and overloaded the pork. I am not a huge pork fan. The pork was so tender it could be cut with a plastic fork. It was under $9.00. It's worth getting off the highway to visit.

This is an order at the counter restaurant. It's not your typical fast food. Just like homemade and the food is excellent. Fair prices. Outdoor seating is available for social distancing. Good service. Probably go back again today.

So much delicious food & drink! We loved the Carne Asada with Orchata & Hibiscus drinks! A bargain for the huge portions!

Owner should fire himself,miserable vibe.

Owner was rude and unfriendly. Taquitos were good. Fries were warmish and limp ,we asked for crispy. Run down place,needs paint on benches.

Placed order online complete with required credit card information. When I got there I was told that they don’t monitor those orders. They were rude, the order was wrong , and the food was mediocre. Take your money elsewhere.

For us very delicious Mexican food, lemonade was great too...if your into fancy looks or decor it’s simple outside and in, but your not there for looks your there for taste ! Yum 😋

Great Mexican food!

Humbertos is all about the food; all of the items we tried (mostly tacos) were terrific! They offer quite a variety of Mexican staples, home-style. We ate there twice during our stay in Gila Bend.

Very good, despite exterior

I was tired and it was late when I got to Gila Bend for a stay at the Palms Inn Motel. I stopped at Humberto's for a quick meal. It is a small place, with seating in and outside. The prices are very reasonable, I ordered a chicken quesadilla at the counter.. It was large and very good. I realized half way through that they were preparing to close. No one hurried me, but I chose to finish the meal at the motel.

Do not miss this when traveling through Gila Bend

We stop here every time we travel through Gila Bend when heading to or from Mexico or San Diego (which is often). It's so much better than any of the other food options in Gila Bend. The breakfast burritos are amazing, especially the carne asada. Best enchilada sauce on the planet. I highly recommend the cheese or chicken enchiladas. Really great loaded tostadas. Try the carne asada. So good. Green sauce and red sauce are always fresh, hot, and delicious. Friendly service, clean dining room and bathrooms. Have I mentioned the food is freaking awesome? This place is by far my favorite of all the -bertos and blows Filibertos away for food quality.

We stopped there for a late lunch / very early dinner. Food was OK sometimes, but some of chicken pieces in some dishes tasted like they were re-heated many many many times... Not going back....

Stopped in this morning after hearing good reviews. Place was not what we expected. Dirty and the flies were overwhelming. To top it off our order was not correct and a bit over priced. Tried it but will not stop there again.

Best tostadas!

My wife and I always stop here on our way to and from Mexico. She says the carne asada tostada is her very favorite. I have a burrito and if early enough his bacon and egg and cheese is loaded. The carne asada and carnitas burritos are great. The truckers know about this place and are always in and out ordering their meals.

Humberto know's Mexican.

Withing walking distance of the Palms Inn, I decided to try out Humberto's. It ain't much to look at and the interior is sparce, but my food was excellent and reasonably priced. I sat outside, because the inside was smoky. I tried two of the tacos and they were excellent. I would go back.

Great Mexican food

Stopped here because it was conveniently located. Does not look high end, but looks are deceiving. I had a machaca burrito and was very correct! The wife had the cheese enchiladas and loved them. The place was clean and easy to park. Definitely making a mental note the next time I'm in the area!!
