Breakfast find!! What do they put in their buttermilk syrup?? Never had that yumminess before! That syrup is delicious 😋 the staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is Hometown unique. No chain restaurant boring here.
This is one of our favorite places to eat in all of the White Mountains. We really like their breakfast. The service is always good and so is the food. They serve pasole on Wednesday as a special of the day. It's delicious. The food...is affordable also. The atmosphere is very nice in the restaurant and in the bar. We eat here often.More
Very pleased with this newly remodeled, spacious and clean restaurant. If you live in Eagar, chances are, you're a regular. Coming from Pinetop-Lakeside, it was an enjoyable scenic drive. We had great service, great food and enjoyed sitting in the comfortable booths. Our food came...out in a timely manner. It was hot, fresh and delicious! Trail Riders is worth the drive, worth the wait (if there is a wait) and worth the money. We will definitely be back.More
This place was recommended to us as having good food and reasonable prices. And we were not disappointed. Our server was friendly and the service prompt, we had our food in no time. We will eat here again when we are in the area.
We were glad to stop in and eat, since New Mexico had closed all indoor dining. What a disappointment. I would have rather gone through a drive-thru and eaten in my car. No one had masks on in here—right in the middle of a horrible...pandemic. The gal who brought us drinks was the only one. Our server did not. That is unacceptable to me. I couldn’t even walk to the bathroom without coming across someone without a mask. At this point, I almost didn’t care what the food was like. If you, as a business owner, don’t care about the health and well-being of your customers, that is pretty bad. I did get a cheese enchilada and it had meat in the sauce. I said something to our waitress and she just didn’t care. Didn’t apologize or anything. I would never eat here again, whether we were in a pandemic or not.More
Next door to the Best Western in Eagar, this was a convenient spot to carb up before skiing the next day. Good atmosphere and an added bonus of the bar for a couple cocktails to extend the evening. Met some nice people and the wait...staff was super friendly!More
I've been here at least a half dozen times. It is consistently very, very good. Salmon dinner last night was great (slightly overcooked but not bad), southwest turkey melt is outstanding every time! Bar is completely stocked, I tried a single malt scotch I've been...wanting last night and was amazed at the low cost and generous pour. Friendly locals and great service. I feel bad for those holiday skiers waiting for tables in Pinetop/Lakeside. Eagar is a great secret...shhhhh!More
We picked the Trail Riders for dinner tonight since it was next door to our motel. The portions were huge and none of us could finish our meals. One of us had the shrimp dinner and it came out 'grilled' not deep fried. She ate...it but wouldn't order it again. Another had the friday night 'all you an eat' fish fry. The fish was overcooked but the inside was tender, so the guys ate the inside and ordered more. I had the patty melt. It was a half pound patty and more than I could eat, but it was good with the grilled onions. Seemed to have a lot of staff standing around. Not a lot of choices for restaurants in town, so I guess this one fits the bill.More
I ate here 3 nights this past week. First night had the hatch burger, cooked well, came with fries. Service was timely. Second night I sat in the bar, that night I had the turkey avocado bacon melt. I thought to be really good, was...MNF so was pretty busy but there were plenty of workers so service was always timely. The last night I sat in the dining room, will explain why soon. That night I had the chicken fried steak dinner. The soup was pasole which I thought was very good. Soup came out quickly and was hot and about 2 minutes after the soup came my entre, just happened to be one up. Little concerned about that but it was hot and tasty. Nice service again. This restaurant offers hunters a 10% discount if you show the server your tag. Great perk, but that isn't available when dining in the bar. Oh well my overall experiences here were fine and again my family had eaten here and had recommended it to me.More
Our waitress Lexi took good care of us. My husband ordered the green chili burro and I ordered the chicken fried steak. Both plates were huge and we didn’t even finish half of our food. It was delicious
