My wife and I were on a mini weekend getaway and found the brewery was having their soft opening the same day we were in town. This happenstance turned into being a magical find. The Brewery itself is from an old church repurposed into an amazing brewery. The entrance is up a flight of stairs you would find in a normal church of the period, I think late 1800s, early 1900s, You walk in and see much of the original wood, alter, pews, etc all converted into workable solutions to provide an awesome atmosphere. The staff behind the bar were amazing. In chatting with the bartender he informed my wife and I that they actually have a cigar lounge located downstairs. Since we both smoke fine cigars and enjoy amazing craft beer we were sold. We paid our tab at the bar then made our way downstairs where we were greeted by the most energetic bar tender I have met in years. He was over the top cool and enthusiastic towards and welcomed us as new members of the family. The food was awesome, I think I had the roasted beet salad with salmon while my wife had a humus dish. Yum. The beer was amazing. I normally don't like the sample route preferring to select my own craft beer as I consider myself somewhat of a beer snob. I tried their sampler and fell in love. The GM Jared Furlong was especially friendly and gracious and introduced us to one of the owners who happened to be serving tables and waiting on customers. My wife and will certainly be back as soon as our schedules allow. For anyone wanting a truly exceptional dining experience with that magic Belfry Brewery is the spot to go.

I dined with two young children and our server Lindsey was absolutely amazing with accommodating my guests aka my children that were present! She made it fun and a relaxing experience for us. I always am hesitant to bring my children to these kind to establishments; but you either bring the kids or you don’t get to dine. There was an option for everyone; from drinks to menu items! We had the opportunity to enjoy appetizers; fried pickles and wings! There were plenty of sauce options for the wings - we had a hard time deciding so they allowed us to choose a couple different flavors. The pickles were fried to perfection with an absolute flavorful and crunchy batter. The main courses were chosen on an opposite spectrum - we ordered the ribs and smashed potatoes, the mushroom Porcini, and an option from their kids menu; which all were very impressive. The hostess was overly welcoming and asked us to pull pages for a coloring book for our children. But above and beyond that the service and food topped off the night. The timing between courses was just right. The drinks were delightful. The ambiance was great with the saloon style theme when you enter and the modern day old western decor throughout. After we exited the building, the brewer was in the garage shop on the ground level of the property and he openly welcomed us and answered the questions we rattled off. It was really neat to see that the vats and brewing equipment were easily seen from the outdoor patio dining offered. This is a great place, in a great location for a truly local eatery experience!

On our way to the historic district of Cottonwood, we happened by the Belfry Brewery and as we all were craving a beer we decided to eat there. We were promptly seated as we accepted a high table near the bar. The waitress was kind enough to bring us tasting of the beers were were considering before we placed our drink order. The IPA's were very tasty. All the food was great. I had the steak salad - generous portion of steak on very fresh greens and other salad vegetables. The steak was flavorful and tender. The tasteful decor paid homage to the site as it was once a church and a car dealership.

We have now eaten at the Belfry several times for lunch and had good/very good experiences. For our liking the fish and chips, specifically the fish, was rubbery and not very tasty. The fries that accompanied were way too salty. Next time we'll ask not to have the fries salted. The second entree was the day's special chicken barbq sandwich. It was much appreciated that it was prepared on rye bread per my request with the onion rings. Again, for our taste the barbq was too salty and not very good. We will be back because we enjoy the atmosphere and the service but will be more "picky" on the sodium content for our meals.

It’s always wonderful to welcome a new restaurant to Old Town Cottonwood, and I’m delighted to say I eat at The Belfry about once a week. The remodeling done to the original church building is amazing and the bar just beautiful. The menu offers a great assortment of delicious choices. Their Brussels sprouts are incredible — baked with goat cheese, balsamic glaze and bacon bits. (And please note, I don’t even LIKE Brussels sprouts!) Their flat iron steak salad is delicious and their hamburgers are huge and total comfort food! Wait staff is particularly attentive and want to be sure food is served efficiently and customers are happy. Try to come on a night when they offer Bobby D’s ribs! Yummmmm!

It was my Birthday, we were there early afternoon. Usually My Mother n I go to the Tavern all the time and then just went around the corner and Wow new place. I live in Sedona with Mom. My Father came out from Northern California for my birthday. They have a elevator for my wheelchair. The Staff and atmosphere was awesome. They sure went all out for this place. They have outdoor seating covered patio. Large Bar n Lounge as you walk in. Hostess and all staff had the whole staff was very helpful very genuinely Happy. You can smell the wood fire coming the kitchen and it all just was a nice entrance to come into. There dining area is very comfortable booths with space as a thick glass between gives you privacy. Music selection is awesome. Bathrooms very clean and artistically amazing. The entire place just looks so fun. There Brew there Rocks, Yum in a nice cold pint. Food OMG Wow Amazing from start to finish. Very fine dining but yet casually comfortable. Our Server was Lily she is amazing awesome spirit. 😊

Some friends suggested meeting up at Belfry about a month ago for a late lunch. We live a 40 minute drive away and have been back 3 times since. Their in house beers that I’ve tried, Prickly Pear Hefeweizen, Blonde, Pale Ale and Porter are first rate craft beers. I’m so happy I ordered up the Brussel Spouts in the bacon and balsamic reduction (wow, wow, WOW!) and the beer/cheese soup. Order the soup for lunch and you can skip dinner. What other reviews have stated about the burgers are spot on. The meat quality alone is superb but the garnishes are amazing. If I stumbled upon a 5 gallon container of Belfry’s Jalapeño Bbq sauce at Costco I’d have to buy two! Yeah, it’s pretty good. Shout out to Elyse our server for always taking great care of us. Jeff Evans, Sedona, Az.

The only reason I’m even giving a 1 star the girl at the front was very nice. After that EVERYTHING WAS TERRIBLE. I called 2 months ago and booked this for my husband. We were put at a booth for 4 and there were 6 of us. After that when we ordered, my daughter and son-in-laws fish was raw. They offered them a different item no discount. They as well as my husband and myself ordered ribeye steak. For $32.00 I expected a tender steak instead we received a fatty tough steak. I will NEVER return to this restaurant.

The only good thing about this place is the interior design. We had the Brussels sprouts appetizer which came swimming in oil and balsamic. I ordered a Caesar salad. The $9.00 salmon add on was about three bites. Also, who puts cherry tomatoes in a Caesar salad. Not good. Hubby had the prime rib dip and said it was over cooked and his fries were soggy. We were there for lunch instead of dinner but I wasn’t impressed. We are willing to pay a premium for good quality. This wasn’t.

This establishment has a four-plus star rating on Google Maps, but I do not know how or why. The decor is nothing to show off or brag about, the booths near the windows are ok, but the food.. well.. Ordered a Ribeye with Green Rice and veggies, and it came looking ok, but... Green Rice is supposed to be spicy, this was anything but. Ribeye did NOT look as it was 'fire grilled' as it had no grill marks; it was partly ok, but ended up being 50% waste for the garbage can, tough, stringy, and lots of grizzle. To top it off the Pepper Grinder dispensed a piece of dirty-wadded paper onto the vegetables and nothing more. The vegetables consisted of one or two thin slices of maybe four different vegetables, nothing worth eating. My female guest and partner in life ordered the Salmon with a side of rice and specified to the waitress that she did NOT like spicy or hot spicy food; she was assured that what she ordered was not spicy. What did she get, hot spicy rice and a small piece of Salmon with a spicy pineapple glaze. Now this is a Brewery with specialty beer that cost north of $8.00 per glass, and they do offer wine. My partner does not drink beer and wanted a 'local' wine, only to be told all the wine was domestic California wine. With over two-dozen wineries in Cottonwood we managed to discover the 'establishment' that served NONE of it. Thus, she passed on the wine and I passed on the beer, water is good. I fully expected to spend well over $100 for this romantic dinner for two, and frankly was very disappointed with the $70 cost of the two meals that should have never been served to any customer.

Bill, I'm so sorry you had an unenjoyable experience here at the Belfry Brewery. Thank you for bringing it to our attention that we did not have any local wines. We are going to start serving local wines. I would like to rectify this situation for you, please email info@belfrybrewery.com. Ask for the Guest Relations Manager.

Went to Belfry twice while staying in Sedona we liked it so much! Their beers are delicious - we drank the two IPAs - and the bartender, Sydney, was so friendly. We looked at a dinner menu and decided to come back for dinner. They have a nice outdoor patio but unfortunately it was full when we came for dinner so we sat in the very comfortable dining room. We had a couple of their signature cocktails which were both delicious and large dinner salads. Splurged on a tasty lemon marscapone cake. Highly recommend. It's an easy drive from Sedona and away from the crowds.

tried the Tap Room, which is mostly self serve, since you order at bar and then get seated. Beers were good, food was so-so (coconut shrimp), yes I know shrimp is hard to cook but at $15, I thought would try. Will opt for another choice next time. Dining area liile better if you are solo as the staff got a little behind with so many walkups.

Built in a prior church, the restaurant remains some of the charm of the original building. Terrace service is enhanced on cooler nights through use of propane heaters. They offer creative mixed drinks and a variety of food options for all palates. Reservations are recommended.

We've tried Belfry three times now and we're done. Good is not good and way over priced. Service has been horrible every time plus you get a lot of attitude from the servers. Our server got frustrated with us for not ordering food so I don't think she put in our drink order. We waited for almost 20 minutes for a beer and finally left. Food on the last two visits has been cold, poorly made and extremely unimpressive. Plus way over priced! We had great hopes for this place but we won't be back. I am hearing that from a lot of people unfortunately.

Ron, Thank you for taking the time to lend your feedback regarding your experiences at The Belfry. We are very sorry that your time with us was not at all as we would have wanted it to be. Thank you.

The service was terrible! We decided to eat out side but after sitting there for over ten minutes with no waitress, we asked to move inside. Sat there another 10 minutes with no waitress until the manager came by and brought us water. It was a Wednesday night and we were the only people in the room. Waitress came to our table just as we were getting ready to walk out. Hubby ordered a beer and I ordered a specialty drink. Again, it seemed like forever and the waitress brings his beer but apparently the specialty drink I ordered was usually made in batches and there was not a batch of it made. the Bartender cannot make a single drink? Then our food comes out and I still do not have my cocktail. We have been in the resturant for over 30 minutes and I can't get a simple cocktail??? I asked the waitress to cancel the cocktail and just bring me a glass of wine. Lo and behold, here she comes with the cocktail. How long was it sitting at the bar? Food was very mediocre. We ordered 3 appetizers and ate two. The wings were not good but hubby was hungry so he ate them. Liked the fried pickles but the Mac and Cheese was awful. We had to ask the bartender who just happened to walk by our table if he could possibly find our waitress. A manager came by and took our card to pay, cleared our table and brought the bill back for a signature. The waitress came by after all that transpired and asked us how we were doing!!! Not a place I will ever return to.

Thank you for taking the time to lend us feed back on your experience with us at the Belfry. We are incredibly sorry that we dropped the ball. There is no reason that you should have had to wait the amount of time you did, for service or food. We would certainly hope that you would give us another opportunity to encounter a great experience with us.
