-> who found Up the Creek a delightful restaurant. As some have noted; the exterior seems to promise only a run-down, ramshackle general store; but the interior augers a much better experience. And the food lives up to all you might desire. Up the Creek is on a tree shaded bluff about 30 feet above Oak Creek. We dined at... More

Just came from Up the Creek . I was there with good friends and my husband for a nice evening meal. It's a quaint little restaurant near Sedona, Az that is right along the Oak Creek. It sits on a hill looking down on the river with big trees, etc. making a beautiful setting. Meals are good and tastefully served.... More

We were invited to have dinner at Up The Creek.. I had the filet , it couldn't have been more tender. We sat by the window over looking the creek, a lovely view! If you happen to find yourself visiting Page Springs Cellars and want a nice meal.... This is a great choice!

Great food/atmosphere. On the pricier side but good for special occasions. Loved watching the hummingbirds outside the window!

If you are looking for a special place, with a great atmosphere, fantastic food, beautiful creek views, a Chef Owner (Jim) who just might sneak out of the kitchen and rock the house with an amazing piano set and a House Manager (Mario) who may twist your arm to taste three or four or five of their fabulous new wines... Incredible hummingbird watching over the creek! It is mesmerizing and amazing! We started with the Brussels sprout order which we have at many places. A little dry but still great. I had the fresh fish which was good but presentation was so-so. Fish had head on it which I'm not so crazy about. My husband ordered a medium rare steak... More

Thanks for your review Jenifer, we are constantly striving to be the best we can be. I asked my waitress about your visit and we are slightly confused by your review. First, we leave the head and tail on the fish; it is fresh caught from the local trout farm and many patrons enjoy eating the cheeks. Second, the ribs... More

we visited with family members, including a child, and every one of us had a fantastic experience (including the child). The menu included specials, which were inventive and delicious. One of us was a vegan, and he had no problem finding interesting things on the menu. For a starter, I had a roasted beetroot salad that could have served as... More

Don't be fooled by the exterior.. Driving up to this place we were a little scheptical of the wine tasting. The inside is very charming with a beautiful view of the creek and forest in the back. The chef came out and did our wine tasting. His knowledge of different wines and their origins were unparalleled. One of the best... More

when you drive up, the place looks like a wooden shack. Fortunately we went in and looked at the menu. It is extensive. The food is fresh and there is a good selection of wines. We split 2 appetizers. My fav was grilled cauliflower steaks with a balsamic reduction and capers. During the winter months they have specialties like wild... More

This was a fun, casual little place. Most tables have a view of Oak Creek. There are numerous hummingbird feeders hung just outside the windows for bird watching during lunch. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the beers and wines (some of which were locally made). The food was good - mostly sandwiches, burgers and salads for lunch. My salad... More
