when you drive up, the place looks like a wooden shack. Fortunately we went in and looked at the menu. It is extensive. The food is fresh and there is a good selection of wines. We split 2 appetizers. My fav was grilled cauliflower steaks with a balsamic reduction and capers. During the winter months they have specialties like wild... More

This was a fun, casual little place. Most tables have a view of Oak Creek. There are numerous hummingbird feeders hung just outside the windows for bird watching during lunch. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the beers and wines (some of which were locally made). The food was good - mostly sandwiches, burgers and salads for lunch. My salad... More

Up the Creek was a great choice for a tasty dinner. We ate the polenta cake which my sister said was the best thing she has ever eaten, and I had a Sedona burger which i am still imagining. Perfectly cooked, nice presentation, friendly prompt service, and we even were able to enjoy a wine special. The buttermilk pie was... More

Cousins from out of town dropped by so for a treat we suggested dinner at Up The Creek Grill. Micaela greated us at the door and provided great service throughout our meal. Cousins ordered the Flatiron steak on polenta and the Queen of Steaks (Filet) with gorgonzola crust. Wife ordered the Ribeye steak with mushroom shallot sauce (see photo). I... More

I don't have much good to say about this place. We were placed at a table that had paper napkins, while all of the other empty tables had linen. I thought that this was interesting. Our server was a little on the kookie side, talking too fast. I ordered the lavender chicken, and while the presentation was nice, my chicken... More

I'm a Sedona local, was there yesterday, (Sunday), not very busy, but service wasn't that good. Took a long time to get seated, get drinks, drink refills, check... Food was pretty good. On Sundays they do 1/2 off glasses of wine on open bottles, which was great! Their website has dessert spelled wrong. :(

Thanks for the review Deborah, we always appreciate feedback. We appreciate your finding the typo on the menu too. Maybe we will see you again for our pour off Sunday, it is a great deal. We wish we knew what you ate so we can strive to make it great instead of "pretty good" in your eyes. I'm not sure... More

Had the delicious crusted trout which they were able to accommodate for Gluten free, and the not too salty, but tastey etouffee. Attentive wait staff, with views of the creek and hummingbirds. Nice local wines too! Nice to visit a local spot away from the tourists in Sedona.

Lovely atmosphere looking over Oak Creek. Friendly staff. Excellent service and one of the best tasting burgers I have had in a while. Good wine list. Highly Recommended!

We enjoyed our anniversary at this local restaurant because it is a special place for us on a special occasion. There are windows along many of the tables that allow peaceful views of tree lined Oak Creek below. We especially enjoyed the ruby crusted trout dinner. mmmm goood. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is somehow quiet... More

Great local place! We have been to alot of the fancy restaurants in Sedona and this blows them away. The views are great and the bartender knows his wine!

Along an historic highway towards Wine Country you'll step back into how the west once was. There's nothing else like it as you dine in one of the most unique restaurants in Arizona! You'll be impressed with the rustic and authentic cowboy eatery. Enjoy fine steaks & seafood in the lush tree tops & large creek-side setting while watching the wildlife below. Eagles call this home, while the beavers build and the otters frolic. Find herons, wood ducks, turtles and others scouting out where they too find some of the best food in these here parts. Fine dining in a historic, but casual atmosphere. Join us for one of the best culinary experiences around. Freshly prepared and made to order Angus, Dry-Aged & organic grass-fed meats, homemade soups and desserts. Want the best; then come out West and see what all the locals are talking about. Full bar & fine local and international wines.
