We make the trek from Scottsdale for this gem of a restaurant. Everything is worthwhile especially the tofu soups and bulgogi. Highly recommend for something authentic and different.

We often have a difficult time finding authentic Korean eateries. It was great to find this place. From the decor, I could tell that it was owned by Koreans. We had some fried dumplings/mandu, dolsot bibimbap and beef soondubu. Good side dishes (the kimchee was on the salty side). It definitely made my Korean spouse happy. Would come back next... More

I always love coming here for the great authentic Korean cooking and hospitality. Service is always friendly and the food is always spot on. The homemade Kimchee is excellent and compliments the meals. It is the closest I felt to being back in Korea while in AZ...

The Phoenix metropolitan area has thousands of restaurants, but very few Korean restaurants. Since I have had Korean food on my mind recently, I have been searching for a great Korean restaurant. The other day, while in Scottsdale, I found a Korean restaurant and entered it at noon for lunch. There was one booth occupied and the single employee towards... More

This was a very pleasant lunch experience. The service was prompt and the waiter very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a spicy rice, vegetable and meat dish with an egg on top and enjoyed it very much. The stone pot it was served in was super hot and after stirring the ingredients, everything was cooked to perfection. The side dishes... More

I've always been a fan of Korean cuisine, but usually all I can get is an Americanized version.I need search no more! Chodong is authentic, the real deal! Spouse ordered tofu seafood soup, with came to the table bubbling like a cauldron. Offered to have a fresh egg added, which he did. Soup came with 6 side dishes (!) and... More

My wife is a big fan of their beef bulgogi. I love it too but I also crazy about the bibimbap and many of their tofu soups especially the kim chi. The decor and service are just fine, but it's the delicious korean food that keeps us coming back.

I'm here with my daughters. They've been to Japan, I've been to China. We all agree this is some of the best authentic Korean food we've ever had. I recommend #2 the seafood and beef with tofu soup. Spicy and very filling.

Went there as a family for lunch. Very simple place to look at. No fancy decor or expensive set up. But what counts is they serve good Korean food. Normally known for their meat variety, they did serve a very nice vegetarian dish for my wife. I have had food here during my earlier visit some time back and they... More

Went there with a group of people for lunch. Ordered the Seafood Tofu Soup at $ 10.25. Came with rice and a small selection of kimchi side dishes. Food was very delicious, on par with what we have in Los Angeles. It is after all a chain with locations all over the L.A. area as well as in Atlanta and... More
