We came here for dinner with my grandfather, who comes here for the pie and ice cream. When I asked about gluten-free options, the server pretty much laughed at me and said they don't do anything gluten-free because the place is 100 years old. In this day and age, I'm quite sure it wouldn't hurt their business any to make... More

I have been buying pie's here for a long time. This past weekend by Wife & Myself went for a long drive out to Black Canyon City for Breakfast. In a nutshell, if your looking for a wait at a tourist trap and the only goal is to heard folks in and out this is your Café. You wouldn't assume... More

We have driven by this restaurant for years and never stopped. BIG mistake. The home style meatloaf and chicken fried steak meals we hadwere delicious. The pies and baked goods are homemade and very good also. We tried to stop for lunch on our trip back, but they had a long wait (but we did pick up baked goods &... More

Was told by a Chef at a local restaurant to try the pies at this place. The cafe is fairly large with 3 or fur dinning rooms but still on a Friday afternoon around 3pm we waited for 15 minutes for a table. Menu is great with may lunch and dinner choices at reasonable prices! And the PIES are awesome!... More

Everything here brings you back to a time where stagecoaches and horsemen were around. The main saloon is a time capsule but the best thing around is the food! I had the meatloaf meal and my boyfriend had chicken & waffles. They were both delicious and quite large portions. Do not pass the amazing home made pies. They could be... More

What a dump! I think we were really bothering the women to give us pie; they did not have cherry (flavor of the week) nor did they have mixed berry. The flavors we finally got were average at best. There was a different line for the cash register and we apparently were still a bother for the employees since we... More

Hidden gem! Food was good. Service was polite. Not fast food, so stop complaining in reviews about slow service. By the way the pies are excellent!!!

Read about this place in a tour book so I was excited to try it for lunch and top it off with pie. While we waited for a table we noticed the restaurant was in need of many repairs and updating (plastic nailed to the ceiling in several spots, and my husband noted several 'code violations', etc.) but we were... It was not fully cooked when I went to serve it for our sons birthday dinner. It was gooey, far from what a crumb crust should be. It was inedible! I then put it in the oven to try and crisp up the topping. It was the blandest, worst pie ever tasted! Don't waste your money.

Anytime my wife and I go up north, we try and stop at Rock Springs Cafe on the way home. Yes it has become a bit touristy, but the food is always spot on and the Pies are delicious. I highly recommend the Chicken and biscuits, Home made and outstanding. And no matter why you stop in, THE PIE IS... More
