How do you ruin chips and salsa? They advertised fresh homemade chips. They were old, cold and stale. Salsa was adequate. This is free at so many places, that for six bucks I expected it to be something special.
We picked this spot in part for the ability to have a breakfast on site. Unfortunately the staff did not show up and we were not even offered a cup of coffee. In addition, the evening before we sat on the front porch for a...cocktail where we had to serve ourselves and separated ourselves from the smokers while we watched the homeless men pick through the trash cans near the front door for various items and pick up cigarette butts from the ashtrays. All in all a fairly disgusting lack of hospitality from the staff and their failure to control the setting.More
Decided to have a quick lunch before we went on a guided historic tour of Bisbee. The ambience is lovely with tables formally set (the table cloths however were wrinkled and needed ironing). The service is quite slow....so don’t be in a hurry. Food was...average....what made it special was the dining room ambience.More
Bad experience. Especially bad since we were all looking forward to dining in such a unique place. The server needs to be trained on the wine list and on how to serve wine. White wine must be chilled for example. Half price specials on $80...bottles of wine appeal to no one. She should have known what was available before she took our order rather then coming back to our table four times empty handed. Two meals were served ten minutes before the other two meals. Again, this is not acceptable. The food , although presented nicely, was just mediocre. In an area full of great competition this dining room needs to step up the game. Our first clue should have been the fact that we were the only table on a Friday night. 🙄More
My family opted to eat lunch here while we waited for our room to be ready, and got a seat out on the patio. Service was a little slow, but we weren’t in a hurry.
We ordered a lot of different things and shared. The...salads were very good - all dressings are made in house. The baked Brie appetizer was off the charts! Nicely presented with toast points and apple slices.
The margarita pizza was interesting. Served with a red sauce, it was good, but different. I ordered wings with dry rub, and those came out a good 10 minutes after the other meals. Good thing I was sharing with the others, or I would have been unhappy about that.
So, overall good, but for this price point I would have expected a bit better service.More
I go to Bisbee a couple of times each year. This restaurant was closed for renovation on my last trip. The renovation is much more than cosmetic, although the cosmetics are fabulously done! The service was outstanding. The food was the real surprise. In years...past, the restaurant in the Copper Queen has been good. Now it is outstanding! Even dishes that you would think would be nothing more than standard fare (like sausage and pancakes) were unique and amazing. Four of us had breakfast and each ordered something different. Each dish was really amazing. Personally, the crepes were my favorite. I am looking forward to going back to try out their dinner menu.More
Arrived in town for breakfast and glad we landed here. Breakfast isn't my favorite meal but their chicken fried steak was fabulous. Be advised, portion control has no meaning so come hungry. Waitstaff was friendly and efficient.
