The Fat mermaid sits on the waterfront with a great view of the harbor and mountains. Our culinary team loves preparing Alaska's best seafood, great pizzas, burgers, sandwiches of all kinds and awesome salads. Our breads are all made in house including our hamburger buns. If you are in for breakfast, ask about Mom's toast, you will be glad you did. We also produce gluten free items, raw food items and plant based dishes. There is something for everyone. Our bar hosts spirits and 25 different craft beers on tap. You will love our outdoor seating and our rustic garden room. We have a great team ready and waiting to serve you!
Very friendly service, the drinks were great, the food was served quick and was quite yum. We didn't have a wait, but as there aren't many restaurants in this town be sure to show up early and/or be prepared to wait a bit if there...is a line.More
We tried to have dinner at Fat Mermaid yesterday. The place was not full but we were asked to wait. We did not think a lot of it as it may have been because of staffing issues. The problem was the attitude of the front...staff. We found her rude and uncaring and decided to go elsewhere.More
The Fat Mermaid has one of the best family menus I've ever seen. They have a little bit of everything and everything we had was good. Especially loved the boneless wings, the cheesy bread, and quesadillas. The pizza was good, but the portion on the...cod seemed a bit small. Overall it was good and we ate there twice if nothing else for the variety.More
They had limited service and hours and only offered to go orders when we visited. But you could pick up your order and eat outside on their deck. We ordered a seafood sampler and everything was great. I didn’t think I liked boiled shrimp or...Salmon dip. I was wrong on both. Everything was great!More
Fat Mermaid was supposed to be our dinner and breakfast restaurant on tour. We even filled out a pre-order form with meal selections. We were told the restaurant was closed. It wasn’t clear as to why, but it was disappointing.
