Passing through

While traveling from fairbanks to anchorage we stopped for a bite here. My husband had a great breakfast burrito and I had some of the best beef stew I've had out of home. Thanks! Sweet gentle dog hangs around if you're lucky you'll get a soft lean or some love from him.

Great little restaurant in Trapper Creek. Saturday night is jam night and locals get together to sing and play. Amazing how talented some of our folks are. The food is hot and delicous. The wait staff make you feel like your long lost friends. Everyone is welcome. During winter months it's great cuddling up to the wood stove to dry... More

Friendly young man in the store part of the Trading Post, showed us to a table in this VERY local eating spot along the highway to Denali. We were out driving around and didn't want to have to wait longer to go back in to Talkeetna for lunch. Selection is American Fare, and we got burgers, one with fries and... More

We stopped twice at this friendly, rustic joint. First, on our way to Denali from Anchorage and second, on our way back from Denali to Kenai Peninsula. And we enjoyed this place both times! Folks are friendly and warm. We enjoyed watching the cook make our food from their kitchen which open from the dining area. Food is good. Burgers... More

The homemade chili was excellent as was the homemade beef and vegetable soup. The staff was friendly and service was fast. Easy parking for RV's/motorhomes. They also have a liquor store.
