Managed to miss this pub last year but made up for it today! Good choice of beer but menu is superb especially and particularly the curry choice. Both my wife and I went for our favourite curries with rice popadums and naan bread and tucked...More

Great food, decent portion sizes and attentive service! Especially recommend the curries, lasagne and roast chicken with gravy!

Disappointing visit to The Royal Oak; the website looked so much more inviting. Inside was very dark (seats were grubby) and when we arrived the person we had booked with over the phone had got our name wrong and doubted we were the correct family....More

Don't order seafood. Just don't. The "seasonal" and "subject to availability" makes you think it's fresh, but don't fall for the trap (unless you are constipated). We did, and it wasn't pleasant. Chicken is fine. Otherwise good atmosphere.

I have never left a poor review but sadly this warrants one. We read some very positive reviews about this place so even though it's not a true Indian restaurant we tried it. Both had tikka masala but they were totally different colours and flavours....More

Try the pub’s curry menu. The Balti was top notch and generous on the spices, as was the spinach dahl.
