It is an eclectic and charming little spot. We stopped in based on a friends recommendation prior to catching the train to our ship. We went for breakfast, family style seating with great food, an amazing bakery and a fun sense of what a small town Alaskan community is truly like. We ate with other travelers and a local recovering... More

Everything about our breakfast was yummy from the good coffee to the baked goods to the pancakes. I highly recommend going here for breakfast.

We arrived just after 10:00a.m.off the shuttle bus from princess McKinley. Had heard about it from someone who had been there the day before. I have had 14 years experience in restaurant and catering and the Raspberry cinnamon roll is the best I have had Anywhere! Portions are made for MT. Climbers so bring a healthy appetite.

We enjoyed the breakfast food at this restaurant. For as busy as this place gets, the service was very good, too. I had the sourdough pancakes with peanut butter and syrup and bacon. The bacon was crispy and had pepper on it. So yummy. Came with a coffee and juice. My husband had the standard egg, potatoes, Bacon dish and... More

Having read and heard about this funky little roadhouse and eatery in Talkeetna, AK six of us made the trek from our lodge to enjoy what was an outstanding breakfast. The food was delicious, huge portions and the options were many. Lots of decadent sticky buns and fruit filled pastries in addition to large plates of hearty breakfast fare. The... More

Restaurant and hotel. Breakfast super busy time but worth it. Open seating so can end up joining others at the same table and meet interesting folks. Really like this open seating idea. Have bread for sale as well as pastries. Definitely recommend.

We ate in the dining room. You just pick any seats that are available and the seating is family style in this small restaurant so it is very likely that you may be eating with others. The food was delicious and very filling. I had the green chili breakfast casserole (make sure to add the bacon!) and my husband had... More

Did not eat a meal here but you can. We stopped in and picked up pastries for breakfast. All scratch made scones, cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls, and coffee. All were fantastic.

We ate at the roadhouse prior to a scheduled airplane flight. The staff were friendly, welcoming, the portions were huge and the homemade apple butter and biscuits were wonderful! Tables are shared with other customers and made for a very friendly atmosphere

We stayed in the apartment above the museum. Best deal for a room that could handle 5 or 6 with your own bathroom that I could find in Talkeetna. Boys enjoyed the whistling tea pot and the provided hot cocoa, tea, and coffee. It made the perfect breakfast when combined with the bakery items from the Roadhouse counter. Things were... More
