Cannot believe how great the smoked salmon cheese crunch was. Stopped for a quick snack. Ended up staying for dinner and ordering multiple crunches. Delicious would be an understatement. Try one, you won’t be disappointed and don’t be surprised if you end up ordering more…

I saw a lot of deep fried items and burgers and pizza and was now craving a home cooked meal, and there was a special here called fuego or something like that. It was surely amazing. I suggest keeping that as a daily dish but...also give option of just adding the chicken on the rice maybe with a half corn on the cob. The brown gravy with streaks of sour cream was amazing. I will say it again, amazing. So I expected rice with chicken on top and streaks of that gravy. I ended up with rice and 3 chicken taquitos dipped in that dark brown gravy and that also was delicious. Also suggest to add more rice. It was only about 3 tablespoons of rice. But to the owner and chef there, hats off to you. You helped me find a home cooked meal.More

Good halibut tacos, average burger. Food truck not a restaurant so you have to sit outside weather permitting. Town is a small strip but funky and fun.

My husband and I had the halibut quesadillas and they were amazing. Some of the very best food we had while in Alaska.

The smoked salmon quesadilla I had here may have been my favorite thing I ate in Alaska. The husband had the halibut taco and also enjoyed it. Sitting outside on the picnic tables enjoying the Talkeetna vibe and live music across the street. Highly recommend.

Looking for seafood, sat down at Denali brew pub assuming they had fish, but since they didn’t waitress mentioned tako food truck across the street and smoked salmon quesadillas were terrific! Lots of salmon and with great salsa accompaniment. Could even buy beer at local...mercantile to bring over to go with dinner! Perfect!More

We ordered the halibut tacos - amazing! So fresh, perfectly cooked, and also gorgeous to look at! Perfect seasoning blend, highly recommend! Met the chef/owner - he and staff are great folks.

A small grab and have joint with a bit of outdoor sitting. We ordered quesadilla and veg tacos the quantity was good the food was fresh. They accept only cash. Good joint to have a quick bite

This food was the bomb! No fish is ever cheap and AK food tends to be more on the expensive side. These were the best fish tacos our family has ever had! We had halibut tacos, halibut quesadilla and a salmon quesadilla. Again,not cheap but...so delicious. The truck was busy. There are only two sit down picnic tables outside. Would highly recommend this as a lunch stop!More

These tacos are priced well and full of tasty ingredients! You have sauce options and can mix and match to your liking. A great snack when you're on the go and don't have the time to wait, but if you want to relax at one...of their outdoor tables and do a little people watching, go for it!More

Was there in May 2019 for a 2 hour rest stop on a bus going from Denali Park to Whittier. The town of Talkeetna was was crowded as several other buses and the Alaska Railroad train had unloaded passengers to stroll about town. The larger...restaurants were packed with wait times, so we settled for the Talkeetna tAKO place. Glad we did. Had fast, friendly service with picnic tables in front so that you could take in the street scene while eating. There were some unique fish and vegan taco choices and we sampled a few and all were tasty. The fast service allowed for extra time to roam around town and do some shopping. Extra bonus was the very hospitable owner who greeted all of the patrons and was anxious to share the history of his restaurant venture, which had only been open for two years. He made sure that you felt at home and resolved any issues that you might have. Prices quite reasonable. Highly recommended.More
