This restaurant serves excellent food, whether you eat in or take a way, highly recommend. Parking can be an issue.

We visited with approx 26 other people for a Sunday evening buffet meal. All of those who attended were pleasantly surprised by the great quality of food available and the friendly staff. You could choose from 2 different soups and numerous main course dishes all freshly prepared. The only let down was the fruit salad dessert - probably about 80%... More

It was a cold evening and I felt like something hearty and warm. I had Mapo Tofu with rice and it was just what I needed. The staff was nice and friendly, and price was reasonable. I would certainly go back when I am visiting Timaru.

we are chinese and have been living in new zealand for 10+ years, we have dined in a vast number of chinese restaurants across nz, this is by far the worst one we have came across. the carpet looks like it has never been cleaned, the speed is just slow- took about half an hour for a standard dish to... We had the smorgasbord dinner. Everyone had a try of various dishes. The noodles were the best I have ever had. All the dishes were very good. The BYO option is good, so you don't get charged an arm and a leg for a bottle of wine. Price was excellent, Superannuitants get a discount, and 9 yr old granddaughter only... More

Last year (2013) the food here was truly 'terrible' but we thought we would give it one last chance this year. Surprise, surprise thei year it was really quite good... More

Called in here for lunch by chance the other day and soooo glad we did. The best Chinese in Timmers. Sweet n Sour chicken ( homemade sauce ) with apple, yum yum. So fresh and tasty. Looked beautiful and tasted even better. $7 bucks for a good size plate on there lunch menu, will definitely be going back

On the outside this place looks awful with it's unkempt appearance, once inside it is not much better. However if you want a blooming good Chinese meal in timaru you need to go in.... the food is freshly prepared and is just lovely, went in with my other half and we were so impressed with the amount and quality of...
