The title says it all, really. We arrived early evening on a day which turned out to be the start of their new menu and what a pleasant menu it was, i.e. something for every taste. After sharing flatbread with garlic & herb as an entree, I settled for the chicken & apricot filo which came with salad and chips,... More

We enjoyed an evening meal on a very busy Friday evening. The main inside space was fully booked with mainly family groups & family celebrations but we were happy to seated in their outside area. The menu included many of the usual Speights meal specials & some cheaper drink options. We particularly enjoyed the cherry chicken meal and did not... More

On our way down island and it was lunch time so we decided in Speights for lunch. Seated immediately and we had our drinks very quickly. The place was really busy which was a good sign. The staff were buoyant and eager to explain the menu and answer our questions. It is a craft brewery as well so I had... More

We had a good lunch at speights ale house. We found it good standard fare in good surroundings. The meal was enjoyable and we all enjoyed it. The service was also good. Overall a good reasonable meal.

A good meal was what we needed after visiting farmers all day. The Speights Ale House gave us this. Attentive staff who had drinks to us within minutes of us sitting down. Menus, orders and more drinks were promptly taken and received. The meals were presented well and a timely manner. The Fillet steak was a bit over cooked but... More

My partner and I stopped here by chance to have lunch for my Birthday. We were greeted straight away and shown to a nice table near the window. I tried the new summit apple beer, which was really nice refreshing, and would definitely have again. Really beautiful meals... but too big for us to eat. The staff didn't mind packaging... More

Visited this evening and found the food to be really below average. Lamb shanks so dry you'd need a hacksaw to get through them. I had the chicken filo which was OK and relatively tasty but left feeling very uninspired by the menu choice and reminded why we haven't been for a very long time. Over priced meals of not... More

Enjoyed a nice lunch here and I had the vegetarian option which I loved. Friendly staff. Bit noisey inside and normal pub restaurant feel but food still good. A wet day place to dine

I came with a colleague for a drink and snack and was just delighted with the lady you looked after us. She was informative, kind and had a wonderful smile. She made sure we had everything we needed the entire time and when she finished her shift she let us know and introduced the waiter beginning his shift and told... More

We were really impressed by the fantastic service we received at this restaurant. From the moment we walked through the door we were really well looked after. Nothing was a bother and our meals were delicious as well 👍
