Had an amazing meal here a few nights ago. They had a group of thirty seven in and a few other tables eating too, so were busy. The oysters were fantastic and the lamb shanks were the best we have had anywhere. The panna cotta was ridiculously good. We couldn't fault the food or the service and will be back... More

The seafood trio was awful. The fish was cold, dry and seemed overcooked. The prawns were obviously frozen from the texture, and they had been cooked in such a way that they tasted of that awful brown goo in the heads. The 'crispy' potatoes weren't, the 'carrot jelly' appeared to just be diced carrots, and probably frozen as well. The... More

A quiet Monday night. Only 4 people in the restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly. Good craft beer on tap and the (slightly weird) garlic bread was tasty. The mains were superb. A chicken breast dish that was succulent and packed with flavour and a trio of game that was bursting with great tastes. Brilliant. Well done.

Slow getting meals out even when restaurant was quiet this night. Staff need training and the food prices are over charged for what you get. Bring those prices down its only ASHBURTON

I was with a group of friends for a celebration the night we went. We all had an amazing night. The food & wine/champagne was beautiful. Service was brilliant, very attentive. Reasonably priced too.

We had been touring around all day and it was lovely to call into the pleasant cool surroundings at this cafe. The staff were great fun and very helpful and patient. We all had beers, wine and coffee followed by well presented and plentiful portions of light nibbles etc. We didn't need tea! Casual setting with indoor and outdoor areas.... More

Waited for over an hour for our mains, food was okay but terrible service would not recommend on a busy day.
