We came for some rustic food they had a few dishea that come from romania rustic cousine ! We eat " ciorba de fasole in paine" is very good ... They are not flexibile if don't want something or want some extra ... Or cooked...more ... The answer is always NO .. A group of 12 person came they wanted to sit togheter so the answer for aproaching the tables was "NO" so they left nice marketing . The fork they brink for second plate ( that mistaken) was dirty . So service is bad .. But food good ;)More

Ate here as part of a day tour and left without a distinct impression. The beef soup was nice and had some subtlety, but the schnitzel was bland and borderline cold on arrival. Clatites were ok, but again a bit limp. Service was fine. As...the meal was part of the day trip I can't comment on the cost, but I wouldn't seek this meal out again, though having to serve a large party simultaneously might explain the temperature issues.More

Obviously the food was not prepared to order and had simply been microwaved. I could tell this as it was still cold in the middle. Also felt like a leper whilst sitting in the non-smoking cubicle.

This restaurant was very close to the B&B we stayed at (Vila Franka – which we also highly recommend) and we ate breakfast at the Rustic restaurant. The place is centrally located (not inside the old city walls but right near the main square of...the city) and is has a welcoming feeling. We liked the design very much, the service was very prompt, the food for breakfast quite nice, the coffee very good. We think it might be a pleasant experience also to dine in this place. They inspire a feeling of quality.More

Cheap and very good restaurant. Ate a nice sarmale for 9,8 RON. The only aspect to improve is the light which could be stronger in the wrong angle you can barely see what you are eating but If you are in Sighisoara don't miss it

Dined at the only non-smoking table which is right in front of the door. Unlike the other reviews, we'd a very attentive & helpful waitress. There were 4 other tables which had a quick turnaround. The goulash soup was heartwarming for the cold weather filled...with paprika. The rustic cabbage & sausage was light snack for dinner after the heavy soup. The decor is in a pub style & I would recommend this pub for its food.More

I have eaten at Rustic a few times over the last 4 years during my visits to Romania. I usually visit the city in the Autumn, so what a surprise it was when I visited just last week and received such horrible service. I arrived...with 8 of my colleagues for a late dinner. Many of us were from different European countries but we all spoke English and a couple of us even speak some Romanian. We arrived to find only one other table with guests, however our waitress was busy talking on the phone for at least 20 minutes. I waved her down from the bar not once, but three times. She actually looked as if she was hunching over behind the bar/counter to hide from me because she didn't want to wait on our table! I felt horrible because I suggested Rustic to my colleagues since it was a short walk from the citadel where we were all staying and here was this young waitress talking on the phone. When I finally got the waitress to tend to us, she said she didn't speak or understand any English (although I asked her in English and then confirmed in Romanian) and that no on staff that evening spoke English. Amazingly my friends ordered in English and the waitress got all the orders correct. Funny thing for not understanding English. The food was still good, yes. We waited at least 20-30 minutes to get any kind of service. Our food took even longer to arrive. I wouldn't suggest a restaurant that has bad service for foreigners during non-touristy times of the year. This experience definitely made me rethink eating here every time I walked by during the remainder of my visit. skip this place unless you are starving or you speak Romanian. Stop next door at La Perla instead. You can get some of the same food, and the waitstaff is always helpful and friendly.More

RUCTIC looks more PUB, don’t expect it as a fancy restaurant. Anyways it is a casual restaurant with Romanian Dishes. There is only one table for non-smokers. The table is quarantined by clear glasses in front of the entrance, which is a bit funny. (...should be the other way around ?) Portion is not too huge, which is good for me. Price is also very reasonable ! I enjoyed their Sarmale pretty much. Plenty of Sour Cream comes with in a small pot. I had Sarmale and a glass of wine, I paid around 13 lei only. They have English menu, too. There is not enough staff working there, one in the bar, one on the floor so you might have to wait before getting hold of someone if it is a busy time. RUSTIC is not located in city walls but it is just 3 minutes walking from Clock Tower. I found this from Korona Hotel website "Korona Hotel's guests benefits of 20% discount"More

Great value for what you get. Beautiful decor inside. Only issue for us was the amount of smoke inside. We do not smoke and when we left we smelled very smokey. Great hot chocolate!

Tripadvisor reviews convinced us to eat here and it was well worth it. We are traveling on a budget and this restaurant was great value for money. Highly recommend the cabbage rolls with polenta. Easy location to find. Another great Romanian food experience
