This was not my first choice but I was wrong. Yes, there is the tourist element but the garden is no different then any other restaurant. The food, however is great. The soup, aubergines, trout and goulash were some of the tastiest food we have had in Romania. Get over yourself and give it a try, I did and was... More

It doesn't cost much, so if you are a Dracula aficionado, it's perhaps worth the small price to go to the supposed place where Vlad the Impaler was born. But once there, it is a bit corny, with the creepy music and red light in two rooms - one with a coffin, and another with a dining table and other... More

Tourist trap! Nondescript seating in outside terrace in the back, high prices for mediocre food at best. Staff is attentive but with an emphasis on turning the table over for the next patrons and not necessarily on service. If you're not a meat eater the choices on the menu are almost non-existent.

Very good romanian traditional food. Serving was not so ok and the outside terrace could be improved. Still, it's worth paying a visit for the tasty dishes. Vlad Tepes (Dracula) was born at the second floor of the building, which is quite an interesting aspect.

I liked the food here. I was content with the service as well. It's a nice place too eat at in my opinion.

We had beverages on the terrace of this quaint and cosy restaurant and saw others enjoying more substantial steaming dishes too. Nice place to just hangout at. Only cautionary point is that this one, like a lot of the restaurants inside the walled city, closes down a bit early in the night.

When we visited on a Sunday - the town was very busy - many other restaurants had bookings for groups - so we ended up in Restaurant Casa Vlad Dracul - for most of our visit we were the only diners. A male waiter that could speak English (sort of) pointed out - curtly - the only veggie options -... More

I didn't like the food, the service was horrible, with not so friendly staff and the atmosphere was bad, with all the above mentioned. Won't go there anymore.

We came to casa dracula because of the historic reference as the (presumably birth place of vlad tepes - but i must say - the food was great - we ate the romanian classics - mititei, ciorba and mamaliga - all were excellent!
