Very popular with tours and therefore very busy especially at lunch. Good high quality and good western standards. Usual Vietnam foods available rolls, soups, salads metas etc plus nice wine list etc. A bit more expensive that the local cafes and a bit off the main roads area, but good quality and worth a visit.

recommended by a local tour guide, we came here to have a meal. At first sight, the restaurant looks spacious, cosy atmosphere and a little bit red-colour designed but the food was good, staff were nice and friendly.

Our group dined here and we were all happy with the meals and service. I had wine with my meal which was lovely. Can recommend no scarey surprises!

The service and food is very good. A little westernised but still good value. We had the set menu which had lots of veggie and pork and chicken dishes finished with fresh fruit. The beer is cold and well priced so we would do it again.

Had a lunch and dinner here. The lunch was great with excellent vegetarian food. The dinner was adequate in terms of taste. Could not understand this loss of quality. Great when good average when poor.

We had lunch at a red Dao, booked by our tour company. The building looks attractive with a lovely outside garden, although we were told that there were no available tables here. The set menu had been booked for us. We started with pumpkin soup, which was pretty good, then baked vegetable and peanut 'balls', which were very good. They... More

We called in during the morning and tried to book a table for that evening with one of the staff members, but it was all too difficult for her so she asked we phone the owner to book (even though we were at the restaurant!). We decided to just arrive early for dinner instead of booking and found we were... More

A very good dinner. Our appetizer of "mice pork" eggplant was an unfortunate English error (minced pork), and although it had some nice Vietnamese spices and herbs, wasn't the best dish of the evening. The local fish was very good, again with local herbs and lovely flavour (served with rice). The venison was also very good, neither dry nor tough,... More

We were introduced by our tour guide to try out the food at Red dao. It is very close to Victoria spa hotel (can request the use of hotel buggy to get dropped off and picked up at the base of the hill) and then a 2 min walk to the restaurant. We had the mixhot pot which was interesting... More

We were taken here by our guide and had a set lunch. We enjoyed a wide range of food including a zingy papaya salad and eggplant in garlic. The food was tasty and service prompt.

Are you looking for your private Sapa? It’s all in Red Dao House Restaurant.Located in the heart of the town of Sapa. The Red Dao House restaurant is a fascinating traditional wooden house on stilts of the Red Dao hill briber in the North West mountain of Vietnam. It is much more than a restaurant; it’s a wonderful dining experience.
