My partner and I visited this lovely place a few times. First one, on Valentine’s Day, we had a great time and food was amazing, so we decided to go back on the next day as well. Unfortunately, we arrived too late (apparently) as the kitchen was closed already at 21:30. The day before, thought, our waiter told us kitchen closes at 10, so we we’re pretty upset and we left a little confused and went someplace else. The following day we come back to the place around 5 pm - we just wanted the amazing pizza we tried on Valentine’s Day and we weren’t taking any chances 😊... But at the entrance they make us pay a 250.000 rupiahs voucher, basically a minimum each to pay before even looking at the menu!! Upset again, we decided to pay for it and stay. And it was definitely the best decision. We have been looked after from a lovely young man, Wira, who actually made our night. He was very nice and so professional!! My partner and I both work in hospitality so we were delighted!! Food was amazing and Wira’s service was just great, we’ve been chatting all evening with him and we ended up with a new friend...as well as having an awesome dinner experience!!! 😍

I recently booked a surprise birthday gathering for my partner and a group of our friends, we reserved beds and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and shown to our spot which was right on the pool front with views of the ocean.
I made a special request to have a birthday cake made on site and the chefs did not disappoint, the cake was of the highest quality ingredients and beautiful presented with a number of staff delivering it to our table whilst singing and clapping which was such a nice touch.
The service staff were fantastic and kept on top of our large group and even topping up our glasses throughout the whole day.
A great experience all round and can not fault the venue, staff and the team.

Cafe del Mar Bali wants to create an Ibiza-atmosphere. Sandy beach, sunny blue sky, swimming pool looking out over the ocean, laughing young urban professionals, exclusive. If you intend to go there be aware that you have to spend at least 2.000.000 rupias ($ 130) for your drinks and food to claim a cabana for one day. If you want, there are also private parts at the beach club for considerably more money. The menu is based on mediteranean recipes, so no nasi or mi goreng and spicy Indonesian side dishes. But we coudn’t taste the herbs like oregano, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. May be the chef can consider the usage. Alcohol beverages like wine (red, rose and white), champagne, whiskys and other spirits can be ordered. As we were in a would be Spanish setting we sip of course beer San Miguel. De service is excellent. Our waitress kept constantly an eye on us. That is to say, did we have empty glasses. If so, she asked promptly “Do you want an other beer, sir”.

Came here twice with group of friends. End of last year we came without paying any voucher, today we paid 250k each for dinner. Pizza tasted good, unfortunately 3 of us ordered the same dishes: Fish and Chips. They were all tasteless, the fish had a strong fishy smells, the potato was also chewy and we couldn't finish it. A portion of Fish and Chips cost around 170k each. Hopefully next time this place can really pay attention to the quality of each and single dish they offered.

This place is utterly rubbish.
The staff are unprofessional and one even pestered us for tips as they were seating us, and then waited around pressuring us when we didn’t immediately provide. This is not even at the end of the night but as we were being seated. We managed to get rid of her by assuring her we would tip if the service was good at the end of the night, she looked extremely put out by this, and in hindsight, she must have known what we were in for.
The “vip booth” has a dodgy umbrella that doesn’t even repel the slightest of sprinklings (the umbrella has holes by design so it’s completely useless) and while there is a covered area to go to while it rains you will not be seated here, just expected to stand around awkwardly until the rain stops. Upon your return you will find sodden cushions with no option to replace with dry ones, Cafe del mar’s solution? Lay some towels down. And speaking of cushions, they are covered in cigarette burns and miscellaneous stains. It is certainly not what you expect from a “vip booth”. So if you do decide to not heed this advice and visit this place anyway, please don’t expect any kind of special treatment for paying the IDR 30mil deposit for the “vip” experience unless the “i” stands for inconvenient, as that’s how you will be treated, a mild inconvenience in the day of the Cafe Del Mar wait staff. Apologies Cafe Del Mar for my patronage.
Food was also subpar so please do not expect this to make up for the disastrous service (ordered prawn tempura and the prawns were not even deshelled).
Only redeeming factor is the GM who was lovely and eventually found a solution for us which was palatable after 2 hours of back and forth with her abhorrent staff. I assume it is she who is replying to reviews on here so cordially and I will say she was the only one out of the entire staff who treated us with any respect.
There are so many better beach clubs in Bali where the staff are way more professional and certainly much more friendly, with better facilities and without the arrogant and restrictive prepaid booking system. Do yourself a favour and try somewhere else. I suggest Potato Head or La Brisa.

It was nice meeting you on the night of New year eve. Thank you very much for booking with us. We apologize again for the inconvenience caused to you. Our customer satisfaction is our first priority and corrective actions have been taken.
We really regret that you felt pressured by the tips. Meanwhile our staff was also trying to help with the HP pouch, of cash deposit policy of 100,000 idr/pouch. We have reminded our staff to stick to the Standard Operating procedure while the department leader can be called upon for any further assistance.
Our VIP pool booth located in the middle of the swimming pool are equipped with sunshade umbrellas. While in rainy season, our guests are sheltered at Arcade area. We will ensure that the pool booth facilities are always in top notch condition.
For our prawn tempura, we are using the authentic Japanese recipe where our prawns are cooked without head and skin which leaves only the hand and meat. Then it is coated with tempura floor and butter. Regret that you felt uncomfortable about the bite. Moving forward our service team will explain the specificity of the dish.
More training are being scheduled to ensure that Café del mar bali keep its consistency in terms of guest welcome, guest service, quality of greetings to deliver the best guest experience.
Our customer feedback is valuable to us to constantly improve our product and service. Thank you for the time to meet me at the venue and your time to write this review on tripadvisor.

Our last night was a trip to Cafe del Mar. We wanted a cabana so had you book and prepay a set fee.
You get your own sir conditioned room with tv & sound, plunge pool & essentially your own waiter for ordering food & drinks. They had french champagne on ice, as well as beers & a range of other wines. The rose sangria was probably the best choice tho.
Lots of tasting plates including grilled prawns, spanokapita (go figure) pizzas.
There was a huge area with continuous DJ & dance music. However during our 5hrs there not a single person got up to dance so as a party venue its definitely lacking in atmosphere.
But it sits on the beach and there's great sunset views as well as a huge infinity pool for when the plunge pool is too small or you need a change

The beach club is set upon a large complex featuring a very large infinity pool and a multitude of seating options, from sun loungers to cabanas to even private suites. Each comes with a minimum spend price tag; all of which are very high for a solo, alcohol free traveller. I’ve found most venues have increased minimum spend amount a lot! This really only works for people looking to get drunk. Still I prepaid for a cabana knowing I’d never reach my minimum spend limit, but I didn’t think I’d miss it by IDR 1M! That’s because the food was atrocious. I firstly ordered 1/2 dozen natural oysters. They were not fresh, tasty rubbery and chewy and I sent back 5 after eating only one. I then tried the fish and chips and grilled romana salad thinking this would be difficult to get wrong. I was so very wrong. The fish and chips were dry and cold and felt a day old. It was like a terrible pub fish and chips. The batter was too thick. The fish was brown meat and there was no seasoning on the chips at all, or any offered. The grilled romana salad wasn’t grilled, it was burnt. So instead of sweet caramelised leaves, they were burnt. The salad came with some potato mash balls. These were straight from the fridge and I mean they had just been pulled from the fridge they were so cold. I sent these dishes back too. Staff were very apologetic and wanted to offer something else, but after three failed dishes, I lost my appetite. I was disappointed that the venue then decided to on-sell my cabana for a second sitting at 4pm (it wasn’t booked online because I checked at 4pm). Particularly given how low my spend was and how much credit remained. They did offer an alternative sitting area but after a very disappointing afternoon, I simply wanted to cut my losses and go. I won’t be back until they shake up the kitchen and bring in a new chef and menu. Given how many beach clubs there are across Bali now, pick another one and avoid.

If you realy want a good evening of wine and food do not go to Cafe del Mar.
They only have Chardonnay by glass and was told that Savignon Blanc is by bottle which was more than 1mil rupiah. Fortunately they agreed to open a bottle and give us glass at 180 rupiah ++.
The food was nice the surrounding was more like a canteen than restaurant with loud music.

My father was visiting from England, I wanted to take him to a quieter beach club to relax for the day. After checking the website to see we could walk in to have two day beds and a shade for min 800k I decided to meet him there for the day.
We arrived today at 1pm and I informed the lady of what we wanted and she informed me there was no shade provided with loungers. I asked if there would be one available later but she said this was not provided with the loungers at all. I’m not sure who would sit in the sun for the full day but I’d encourage them to change the website if this is the case as it’s very misleading and wasted a lot of our day traveling there and back.

So we were greeted with "you need to spend $25 before we will even let you in". Once inside "you can only sit there" unless you want to pay extra. When you get your drink, there are extra taxes and service charges on every drink. We didn't enjoy the music, no ambiance, no personality and no good vibes . I have never felt more unwelcome! A no go from 4 of us, plus we discouraged another 10 from our group to avoid at all costs. Just when you thought FINNS could not get any better.

With regards to the tax and service fee, these are mandatory government enforced charges that any business operating in Indonesia must abide by.

We went here twice, once on an evening and the heat was stifling. They have this u- shaped building that has ceiling fans, but the hot air seems to be trapped in it and it is quite unpleasant. We had dinner and it was okay, nothing spectacular. We went again in the afternoon a few days later, and there was no where to get away from the direct sun and the heat. The umbrellas are fixed and offer no real protection from the sun. This time we had something to eat again, just a pizza, but it was so hot and stifling that I felt ill. The staff are very pleasant and efficient, but they need to work on some shade.

Very stylish Place, we spend NYE here and the vibe was perfect for the occasion! Beautiful decoration and attentive service. Unfortunately dinner was not good at all :( drinks were much better, also I was wishing the whole night they played better music. Overall it was a lovely night with friends in beautiful Bali!

I came to Cafe Del Mar with a group of friends for a Nick Warren DJ set. We had endless Sangria flowing (both white and red) and a variety of delicious tapas-style plates. The energy from the crowd was on point and the staff was attentive. Hell yeah I’d do it again.

SUCH a wonderful experience at Cafe del Mar. The place is beautiful, food is delicious/good quality, but most importantly... the service was top notch. Puspita specifically was the secret ingredient. She gave thee best recommendations and didn’t make us feel hassled by money like we often feel in many other places of Bali. She is warm, hospitable, and a great conversationalist. I look forward to seeing the Beach Club and experiencing her service again!

The place is big. Big car park, nice entrance, nice lobby and beach club it-self look nice.
We enjoy the music. As we came for dinner, then we got table by the terrace. We must reserve the table first, otherwise no table available. Cocktails was nice. As well the food.
Maybe the dinner area need an extra light or better candles on the table as we cant really see the food. It look romantic, but my friend cant really see the food.
The waitress is very nice, friendly and helpful. We enjoy our time.
This place is packed of tourist during sunset and less people from 7.30pm
I guess this place still easy to get a table after 7.30pm as most people go here to enjoy the sunset while having cocktails.
Music from DJ also great. Lighting setup and dance floor are nicely setup.
Will come back again during sunset.
