Have you ever had any regrets in life? Don't add to that list! Tracy has the best king crab, ever! Don't confuse this with any other king crab you may have had or can buy in the big box stores. This is genuine Alaskan King...Crab. A lot of crab bought from stores may not be Alaskan. If it doesn't say Alaskan, it's from foreign waters. Treat yourself, you only live once. Your taste-buds will thank you. Don't look back someday and wish that you went. You're welcome!More

My wife enjoyed dinner at Tracy's King Crab Shack after a rigorous hike. She had one of the Alaskan King Crab legs. The leg was substantially larger than the king crab leg she had during at a restaurant in Seward last week. My crab rice...bowl was tasty. The location next to the harbor visitor center must make this place very busy during a normal summer - limited travelers due to Covid allowed us to find inside seating very easily.More

Tracy's was hoppin' when we visited in August of 2019 and I expect it is always that busy because our trip was during inclement weather. I have never had king crab before so we ordered the "bucket" and WOW what an introduction to the sweetest...crab meat EVER! The slaw and rolls were good too. The atmosphere is cafeteria like, but it was relaxing and fun. The bucket was expensive, but not out of line for what you should expect to pay. I am from PA and I know what king crab prices are like at local restaurants, and I didn't think Tracy's prices were inflated. I think it is definitely a tourist attraction, but I was a tourist and my husband and I really enjoyed our time there. I would love the chance to go back, and would definitely recommend to anyone who is planning a trip to Juneau.More

Since we were there during the Covid summer of 2020, we didn't have to wait at all for our lunch. I was really looking forward to eating here and I was not disappointed. Staff was very upbeat and friendly despite there not being any cruise...ships, or many customers at all. Should have had more meals there.....More

I had been talking about Tracy's Crab Shack since 2014 when I went for the first time. It use to be only outdoor seating and was more of a shack. Now it is much bigger and is in a much larger building. There was so...many people there it was hard to get seating. I ordered my Crab leg and my Bisque and took a seat. The staff wasn't as friendly as last time. It now feels like a tourist trap where before it did not. The food was still very good but it was not as good as I remember from years before. Don't get me wrong I will be back again next time. I do like that they took the front of the old shack and have it out side.More

You have to go here! I am an avid seafood lover. My girlfriend and I were in Juneau Alaska for the Fourth of July weekend. After seeing many recommendations for this local favorite, we put it on our list of things to do. Our hotel...was right up the street. There was very little activity in town due to the pandemic. We ordered one crab leg each along with a Dungee crab. A bowl of chowder and coconut Crabcakes. Let me start by saying I have a huge appetite but one of these humongous crab legs was very filling. Cooked to perfection. Easily the best Crab I’ve ever had! Do you not Visit Juneau, Alaska without a visit to this amazing place!More

It's all about the king crab of course. The crab cakes are made fresh and best ones in Alaska. King crab leg is huge and good too. And order the fries. Seems odd to point them out at the Ctrab Shack but these fries are...some of the best we've ever had/More

Hi Tracy's Crab Shack Team, I just wanted to let you know we absolutely enjoyed our King Crab order this evening! Today is our 38th wedding anniversary (41 years together) and since we are all on lockdown with the Covid19 pandemic we could not go...out for a nice dinner to celebrate. You totally made our night memorable! Thank you for working hard to be open for shipping orders across the country to us in Illinois. We will remember Tracy's Crab Shack and will spread the love! Sincerely, Mary & BobMore

We visited on a cruise to Alaska in August on a warm sunny day after going up Mt. Roberts Tram. The restaurant was near and we opted to try it rather than food on the cruise ship. It did not disappoint. Fast service, we sat...outside in the sunshine and between 6 of us tried crabcakes, crab bisque, KING crab leg, yeast rolls and drinks. Yes, it's expensive, you are in Alaska and that is pretty much the rule, but worth every penny and the price. Even when busy it is worth the wait and finding a seat and things move pretty fast.More

They do not take reservations this is a counter service restaurant. They ask that you not sit at a table until you’ve gotten your food. It seems to work just fine
