I had a simple American breakfast here and it was perfect. Over medium eggs cooked to perfection, bacon, hash browns, toast. Coffee was ok. Service was top notch.

A small, busy cafe with great food. I have had the Elk Has more than once and I love it. Another great dish is the Midnight Sun breakfast.

I've been here many times now and always good food. It is small, but turnover is fairly quick and waitstaff are very accommodating. If you have a larger group (6 or more) you may want to call first since most tables are meant for 2-4. We went with our grandkids and son/daughter-in-law for a 10 a.m. breakfast and were seated... Been here many times, it's connected to the Baranof Hotel. Great scrambles and friendly staff. Set yourself up for a day in Juneau.

First restaurant tried in Juneau. In the ground floor level of the Baranof Hotel, it is a dated facility in a dated city area. The place was clean and pretty well maintained. Breakfast was spendy but so is everything in Juneau. Food was quite well prepared and the wait staff was attentive. It has the feel of an old building... More

We stayed at the hotel and went down for breakfast, everything was spot on including service and relaxed atmosphere, no rush. Selection is very good, eggs benedict were very good as were the hash browns and biscuits and gravy.

One of the best places for breakfast in Juneau is Capital Cafe. I like the two egg, hash brown, toast and Reindeer Sausage breakfast. It is hard to get eggs over medium perfect, but the chef nails it every time. The Reindeer sausage is fantastic! You will forget about bacon for breakfast once you have tried authentic Alaska Reindeer sausage.... More

Step back into time and you can see Jack Nicholson in The Shining sitting in this cafe though remodeled you'd never know it. This place gave me the creeps. But moving on the breakfast was good as was the service. Not cheap; though if you want to start out your day on a full stomach this is a good place... More

Be sure to ask about specials! Available for breakfast and lunch. There are separate menus, so can't order lunch during breakfast(not sure about breakfast for lunch, though)
