I had heard from various people the Sandpiper was an amazing breakfast place & I LOVE my eggs benny! .. It was a total letdown .. The meal was slapped together, no love put in the cooking of the meal. Mushy potatoes, English Muffin soggy, hollandaise sauce thick and rubbery with no flavour. I never complain, I'm a positive happy... More

We had just arrived in Juneau off of the ferry at 7am and our taxi driver recommended the Sandpiper Cafe for breakfast. I was surprised it was open so early, but it was already busy! The waffles were delicious, and all the fruit was fresh and local (I'm pretty sure). It has a calm atmosphere and great service.

The Sandpiper is located downtown Juneau near the new State of Alaska Museum. Their breakfast selection has one of my favorites which is a sun dried tomato, ham and cheese omelette with their home fried Yukon gold potatoes..they serve large portions and we usually take home about half of it and have it for breakfast the next day.

In 2013, during a cruise stop in Juneau, we stopped off at the Sandpiper Café for breakfast after the local postmaster told us of this great local restaurant. Three years later and we decided to make another stop during a recent cruise to the area long before we even got on the ship. We weren’t disappointed. While it doesn’t look... More

Arrived earlier than the rest of our party ,so decided to have a coffee whilst we waited .We were approached by the waitress, who appeared fine .Sadly the moment we ordered just two cups of coffee [and before I could explain we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive ]she just "grunted".Next we knew the coffee was dumped... All of the reviews are spot on. The breakfasts are amazing. Our first morning in Juneau and it was a real treat. A lot of locals, so you know the food must be good. I couldn't imagine a better place for breakfast and the portions were huge, but the food on the higher end of well made. Our waiter was... More

Food is tasty, well prepared, and nicely presented. Servings are huge, so bring your appetite, or consider sharing.
