After wandering through the shops and the various museum pieces, we stopped at the Crab House for one of their legendary bloody mary's.They are great! Almost a drink and a snack theere is so much going on. With all of the cruise passengers milling about,...service was a bit slow, but once we got our drinks, it was well worth the wait. A must visit if in Icy Strait.More

The lines were quicker than in the full crab restaurant. Clever menu items. The food was very good though. Water is expensive everywhere ($4 for 12 oz), so take a large bottle from the ship with you!

I regretted spending $20 on a crab cluster. The meat tastes stale and I was very disappointed. I really wanted to ask for a refund if not because we came in by cruise with limited time.

My wife and I returned here after 3 years on another cruise, stopping in Icy Strait Point. The restaurant is on a wharf about a 0.3 mile easy walk from the cruise ship. We had been here 3 years ago and we’re really impressed by...the crab. We each had a cluster of Dungeness crab and it was wonderful. There were no forks, only chopsticks and spoons , along with “ white wine” or beer. You place your order, get your drinks from the bar and your crab is brought to you. It’s rustic, but great crabs on a very limited menu. Options here are few, but I’d certainly return.More

This place is now called The Crab House. My wife and I had lunch here after our excursion. She ordered the smoked salmon chowder - $10 for less than half a cup. The potatoes and celery were undercooked and she had to search to find...the salmon. I ordered the Dungeness crab. It good, but very pricey. When my wife went to the bar to order their crab bloody mary, the bartender asked her what level of tip she wanted to leave. Apparently, my wife didn't leave a large enough tip as the bartender then ignored her and was rude to her. I would darken the door of this establishment again.More

We came in and had a seat at the bar. One of the bartenders (not Briana but taller with similar features) who wasn't wearing a name tag, came over to us and started immediately complaining about someone being rude. I asked her if it was...a coworker or customer, and she said customer. We laughed it off. No big deal. As the HOUR went on, we were observing what was going on while waiting for someone to take our drink order. Both bartenders were working on one person's order of three Bloody Marys. They were going in circles and couldn't seem to get it together. A big guy comes in and wants to order a drink. It became obvious that he was a friend. He offers her some chocolate that he had been eating off of. She breaks some off and starts eating, then stops the other bartender and tells her to come try. They are standing there discussing ingredients and how good it tasted. Meanwhile, everyone is watching all of this. Then she asks him what he wants to drink. She fixes it, and he walks off without paying. Here is the worst part. During this time, a lady standing beside him politely asks the bartender if she can get some additional help behind the counter. She looks at the customer and says, "You can leave." The customer then proceeds to tell her that she just wanted to order a drink. The bartender says, "I don't have to serve you." The customer just stares at her. The bartender then says,"Do you want me to call security?" At that point, the customer puts up her wallet and walks back to her table and sits down to eat! She had spent no telling how much on crab legs with nothing to drink. The bartender walks back over to us and says, "See, I told you so!" Then another customer comes up to the bar and tells the bartender that they never got their drinks with their food. Meanwhile two more couples come have a seat at the bar. The bartender takes THEIR order, then finally comes and takes ours. It took her less than 60 seconds to get our basic drink order and comes back but can't remember who they belong to. We could have taken the drinks and easily walked off without even paying. She wouldn't have cared, nor had a clue. What's sad is that she can get away with this behavior because most people will never be back anyway. She should be fired.More

Went to this restaurant on 6/1/22and was super excited to try their snow crab and enjoy a locally brewed beer. Ordered food - 4 stars Ordered 2 drinks at the bar from a dark haired female bartender. Got my beer and waited over an HOUR...and never got my wife’s drink. Asked for a refund in a polite/calm manner from the woman who I gave my money to. She said I was rude and she didn’t appreciate my tone (wasn’t rude and no tone-even another woman setting next to us said so). I did get my refund. Has to be the absolute worst customer service and experience EVER. I won’t go back because of that. I’m still astounded at how this bartender acted toward me in asking politely for a refund.More

Casual and touristy, so a bit on expensive side but delicious and fun if you like crab. There is snow and Dungeness that they bring out shelled. So get ready to get dirty! Also salmon chowder available that was tasty.

The crab was the most tasty I have had. Very fresh and favorable. We just wanted a snack while in Icy Straits and while it was an expensive snack it was worth it.

King Crab at its finest. Don’t look for a value because the pricing is all about the same. What you will get is good, sweet, fresh crab that doesn’t need to be saturated with butter. You’ve got to have an IPA from the bar to...go with it.More

A day off the ship in Icy Strait Point is just a chance for tourists to stand on dry land, spend dollars. We were keen to enjoy some Alaskan crab, so the Crab Shack seemed to be a great opportunity. What a mistake! I ordered...crab chowder, which had a "fake" herb taste. Could not get past the second spoonful. My husband and a friend ordered two different crab leg dishes. Both were dry and overcooked. Worst of all was my friend who didn't want crab. She ordered the chicken gumbo. This also had a "fake " taste. There were two thumbnail pieces of chicken on top of an orange pile of rice. Not just disappointing, disgusting. We would have complained, but the counter was crammed with people from various cruise ships attempting to order. As we left we warned many about the dreadful "food".More

We came here because it was highly recommended by the destination presenter on the ship. We were so disappointed. We ordered 2 clusters of dungeness crabs for $38, incl a roll only no sides. It doesn't taste fresh and way overly priced for the amount...of food.More

Stopped in and bad their Crab Bisque, and it was simply divine. Excellent crab flavor, plus superb texture. Saw some huge plates of King Crab legs being enjoyed by other patrons, but I was on my way to the zipliner later and didn't want a...heavy meal. This place is outstanding!More
