Great location right in the middle of the Homer Spit. The view from the table was a great view of the harbor, where a seal was spotted and two otters were playing in the bay. Really enjoyed that part of the dinner. The food was...definitely average and the prices were steep. The waiter was very friendly, but the person who assigned the seating was grumpy. Not really an issue. Ordered the poke appetizer and the mussels. Would have liked some seafood chowder, but it included salmon in the seafood chowder, and not a fan of salmon, which really isn't normally in a seafood chowder. Overall, it was a good experience, but probably wouldn't return here again with so many options within 1-2 miles of this restaurant.More

The food was Ok, but they gave us Cod when we payed for Halibut. Prices are pretty high, but the service was good.

Watching the fishing boats come in and getting 3 tiny pieces of fish is so ironic. The waitress was a crab. The food was OK, I guess we paid for the location.

The food was unbelievably great! I had the Salmon and my husband had the Halibut, was high end dining. Quantities were bountiful. Wanted to eat out on the deck, but it was a little windy. Service was good. Overall, great experience. Anyone that has never...experienced dining on the spit, should try it. A really neat and unique place.More

We wanted to go to the mermaid, but they were totally booked and the next visit we will go there knowing what we have to do to get the reservations. We called this restaurant as a last minute and they immediately called back with reservations....Unfortunately, it’s the end of the season, so you really have a hard time judging everything because they are limited in their choices and the staff is doing more than necessary. However in spite of all that, The food was very good the drinks were above average it was due to the fact they had a limited number of drinks or wine that I particularly wanted. However I would recommend this restaurant during the season.More

There were 4 fishermen in our party and we had 4 different items including fish & chips, seafood salad, chowder & bread, and a seafood platter. We had good service and really enjoyed the food.

date of visit 06/19/2020 at opening time. Took over an hour for the food to get served after we ordered, as we were walking out the 'manager' came out with it, this was after our server went in the back twice checking on it. THE...FOOD WAS AT ROOM TEMPERATURE, the fries cold and soggy. Our server was good ...not her fault. The hostess was rude and the manage said nothingMore

Best seafood and drinks on the spit. Well worth the wait to get in. Try the calamari and the seafood stew.

We’ve gone here every time we go to Homer. It’s the beat spot on the spit. The staff is quick and friendly. There’s a new menu and food that is outstanding this year. Highly recommend the calamari. You cant go wrong
