Had breakfast 3 times here! Huge and yummy breakfast to go sandwich! omg! And wonderful sit down breakfast of eggs and salmon and french toast! What a great little cafe! Not a lot of seating but worth the wait. Don't pass La Baleine Cafe up! Awesome menu and great prices!

My son and I ate breakfast here one morning while my husband was out fishing. The food was really tasty and was well priced! We sat outside and watched the world go by and really enjoyed it! We'll be back for more in July!

Our B&B had a voucher system set up with La Baleine among others. We chose well. It was special and delicious to eat here. We came back several times. Eggs Benedict were fabulous. Complemtary tea and coffee, nice.

This is a cozy and fun place on the Homer Spit - especially for breakfast. The breakfast sandwich was a huge fresh toasted roll with greens, tomato, a fried egg and bacon with a small side of fresh strawberries and melon with beverage included. All for just under $7! And it was very good. You won't find that bargain anywhere... More

My only complaint is that you need to get outside the main building for the expresso. The breakfast was very complete and gave enough juice for a full day of kayaking. Also the staff is very friendly.

Whenever a place is popular with the locals, like the fishermen who frequent La Baleine, you know it's got to be good! The food is really yummy - the same family runs the luxurious Tutka Bay Resort - but it's very reasonably priced. Open seasonally.

I stopped here for a late lunch and had the Salmon Rice bowl. It was delicious; the best brown rice I've ever had, and the salmon was perfectly prepared. Their menu items are all fairly healthy and I was sorry I couldn't try more. The space is nicely decorated and has a calming atmosphere. If you're tired of deep fried... More

Stopped by after our ferry trip from Seldovia before heading back to ANC. Had the omelet of the day and their Bs and Gs. Both were delicious and the seasoned potatoes were tasty and plentiful. We like help yourself coffee and water and you can't beat the view. We will be back!
