My husband and I split one order of fish and chips and he also had a cup of fish chowder. Everything was terrific. Best fish (halibut) and chips we've ever had, but other reviewers are correct--it's expensive for a very casual place. I drank tap water to avoid expense of a drink. I think you're paying for the location and... More

Local restaurant known for their halibut or cod fish and chips or clams, prawns, salmon, calimari. Your choice. Great onion rings (my favorite). Eat inside or enjoy watching the tourists and eat outside then go for a walk and explore the local shops... with native crafts, local pottery, paintings, sweaters and more.

We came in with nine people and were seated at once while every other place had a 20-45 minute wait time. You have to order and pay for your food up front so if you are going to leave a tip on your credit card you must do it before you have any idea how good or bad the food... More

All the locals recommend it but it is very expensive. I think they get a kick back. We had two orders of fish and chips, two bowls of soup and two sodas and it was almost $70. They sell the halibut at market price, which was $26 a pound. I paid $18 a pound in Valdez. Pack a lunch when... More

It's a fish and chips place- It's fried. If you don't like fried fish-----Don't go here then. I had the shrimp and it was pretty good and the price was OK.

Yes it seemed expensive, but everything in Alaska is expensive. I am not sure why locally caught fish is more expensive than what it shipped and purchased in the lower 48. However I did expect more than one dried out overcooked filet on a skewer and a bunch of equally greasy french fries for the price. It was greasy and... More

Right now the "market price" for two halibut fish and chips meals and sodas is $50. That is a lot to pay for what you get. As others have mentioned the service is polite and fast. The location and view is great and very memorable. Just be prepared to pay a bit for the experience.

Friendly service, good food and it was quick. BUT... this was $25... So, we spent over $50 for two people. Bit ridiculous. Especially for an order and then seat yourself restaurant. They said it came with "a whole bunch of fries" and suggested us to share and get another side, so we did, but there was barely enough fries for... More

Even the locals will wait in line for 20 minutes to place an order. A family tradition that rises above the pale because I'd come here even without the family.
