We've eaten fish and chips (halibut, salmon and cod) at just about every restaurant in town. We keep coming back to the Boardwalk Fish and Chips because it is the best deal in town for really fresh fish with a view of the Cook Inlet and a no frills setting. Be prepared to get your own coke from the machine... More

The deep fried cod and halibut were both good. Price was better than most. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. Definitely recommended.

This restaurant has great food at a medium price for the Homer Spit. I think the lady that cooks is the owner. She's very nice and gives good service. It's not elegant, but it's clean and good. And you don't have to go to an elegant place to enjoy the wonderful view. There are big windows and it's like being... More

I was blown away by the spicy grilled halibut tacos. The fries were excellent as well. We had a waterfront seat with views of Cook Inlet across to the mountains. Amazing!

My husband and I stopped in for dinner wanting local halibut fish and chips. The staff is great, friendly and funny. You can eat in their small dining room, outside at picnic tables or order to go. The view is of the bay and the spit. Our order got mixed up with another table but it was not the resturants... More

I had fried Salmon and my wife had fried shrimp both well prepared, very good slaw and very good French fries. Expensive for fried food, but very large serving size. Not a fancy joint, more like a new England Clam Shack., you place your order at the window and you food is brought to your table. If you are at... More

A small little restaurant with awesome views of the ocean. The cashier was quite gruff with us and not so friendly, kind of barked words more than spoke them. Felt quite offended by the treatment. Did notice a change in demeanor with certain types of customers. We only wanted drinks since we already ate so we both had 1 beer... More

The Boardwalk catches a lot of tourists because it is easy to spot on the spit. However, the food is only average and it is definitely overprices. I prefer fish and hips in either Seward or Anchorage. So, walk on by the Boardwalk Fish and Chips and then head back to town!

A small restaurant. Did not need reservations and was able to get a table right away. Had the fish and chips which was okay. Portions were huge and needed a take home box.

The Boardwalk Fish and Chips is one of my favorite places to eat. We had deep fried halibut, fries, and shakes. Delicious! Since it is on the Spit, you have a beautiful view of Kachemak Bay. For travelers, there are no restroom facilities on site. You will need to go across the street to use the public restrooms. During summer... More
