I enjoyed the come-as-you-are, unpretentious atmosphere and rustic decor, and especially the fire-pit seating. The waitress was friendly and she kept our water glasses full. The menu had a large variety of hearty standard American fare infused with an Alaskan flare. Prices were a lot...More

We ate at this place in Anchorage and then again in Denali. We also visited their other restaurant Prospectors Pizzaria just outside Denali. Pizza was great and the staff was most accommodating.

Really enjoyed our visit, unique décor, and a crowd of vacationers like us and locals. The buffalo meatloaf was very good. The ribs weren't up to the tenderness that I make, but very edible. Don't drive by, drive in.

The atmosphere was great. I recommend the Yak burger. Best tasting burger I have eaten. Everyone was very friendly.

We enjoyed this unique place. The food was basic bar food and reasonable for the area. We wanted to see "the bus" as most people do. It is worth the stop. Enjoy a cold one!

We had dinner here on our last night before leaving this part of Alaska. We were there on a Sunday night, and the patrons were enjoying football on the TVs. The food and beer were good as were the prices.

We stopped here for the bus, like most folks to do. It was interesting to visit, as well as a bit eerie, what with the up beat music playing while looking at a replica of a man's last resting place. We took a fast gander...More

We enjoyed eating at the 49th State Brewery even though they are typically overpriced as is everything in Alaska. The beer was good but not outstanding. Not very good service, which we've also found is typical in Alaska. Would probably eat there again since we...More

First, if you are in Anchorage and Denali, definitely go to the one near Denali and skip the Anchorage location. Lively atmosphere with a fire pit, large bar and antler covered light fixtures. They have a small shop to purchase t-shirts and such. The bus...More

We had a rental car when we were in Denali area. However, there is a shuttle from 49th state brewery which owns several restaurants in that area and they do run a shuttle service among their restaurants. I understand you can... More

Description
Whether ordering a burger the size of your head, Alderwood smoked ribs that fall off the bone, or a local organic salad the food at the 49th will not disappoint. Our award winning craft beer is brewed on premises and can be enjoyed in the beer garden while playing disc golf, bocce ball, horseshoes, or bags. The 49th's outdoor concert series brings acts such as: The Wailers, Trampled by Turtles, Dark Star Orchestra, Keller Williams, Pato Banton, and Matt Lewis and the Medicine. The "Into the Wild" bus from the movie is in the garden and visitors are welcome to go aboard to see the memorabilia on display. As we are located 8 miles north of the Denali hub, we offer a local shuttle for a worry free visit.
