When I want a quick and GOOD cup of coffee I head to the Grind. This is the place I send my guests from Alyeska Hideaway Log Cabins to get a great cup of coffee before they hit the road.

After a week of weak coffee at my hotel I'd had enough and detoured for something strong and good, thankfully The Grind fit that description. I kept it simple with a drip coffee, it was strong but not bitter like many places make the mistake...More

Before we left for our excursion, we wanted some good coffee so we decided to try the grind. Walking in I really liked the place but the lady working seemed to be annoyed by customers coming in for coffee and interrupted her breakfast... Not that...More

This is a fun place to enjoy a non alcoholic beverage. The baristas are helpful and friendly. The decor is quirky and the small gift shop is filled with fun and funny gifts.

We visited The Grind this morning & it had great potential but the service was terrible. We were the only people in the place and we were polite and friendly but the barista was so rude. They had some quirky gifts which we would have...More

An impromptu stop during a transfer from Whittier to Ancorage provided coffee and a nice gluten-free waffle within a rustic setting surrounded by kitschy decor (movie posters & a Star Wars suit) and oddball items (bacon scarf, anyone?) for sale. PIcked up a small bag...More

We visited Girdwood in off season so many places were closed. Thankful that The Grind was open and open early to make our morning Almond Milk Lattes. Staff and patrons were very friendly. The space reminded me of a well lived in basement where you...More

Seemed a bit pretentious. Not that friendly really. The coffee, and muffins were good though. We walked in, no one really said "hi" till we got to the counter. there was only two other people in there. Safe bet we would not return.

This little place is worth getting out of the car. The goofy stuff they have for sale is fun. The coffee was served efficiently and was really delicious.

The place is neat, but I don't think that the barista could have been more underwhelmed to see us and been more avoidant. There were locals, and I think we were shrugged off because we were unknown.
