Nice restaurant, good food, friendly staff. If in a family best to share a sushi boat. Best spot is at the bar, where you can see the chef in action. We enjoyed talking to the Chef, which added to the experience. Pick the happy hour at 5pm, as it does make a difference to how much one pays

The food was fantastic and my daughter really loved the crunch roll! Love watching them make the sushi rolls in front of us. I will definitely come back to this restaurant next time we make it to Alyeska.

We had dinner at Sakura while staying at Alyeska resort. The ingredients were fresh & good quality and it was fun watching the chef making the sushi. It's a little bit pricy as you have to order multiple dishes to get satisfied especially if you're there for dinner.

It was small and the seating was family style-meaning you are seated next to other parties at the same large table. Cool, fun atmosphere but the food was very expensive.

Positives: -Attentive service -Seated right away -Good sushi Negatives: -Prircing is high for the food offered -Some rolls come with 6 pieces, some with 8. Our server did not know which was which. -Even though we arrived during happy hour, we were never offered a Happy Hour menu or told it was Happy Hour. Not until after we left, did... More

Sakura is amazing !!! The sushi is very good and their special rolls are incredible. They had also a special which was 1/2pound of king crab for very good value and the highlight was a special citrus infused Halibut on sashimi and sushi which was incredible. Service is great and the chef and his team always impress with the quality... More

We had 4 rolls, 3 of which were very good...one was just ok, more so because we hadn't read the description properly and it wasn't what we expected. Service was top notch. They have some interesting and unique cocktails on the menu. And just know that you can sit at the sushi bar or sit in the small dining room... More

Dined at Sakura on our first night staying at the Alyeska. The wagu & chaugah rolls were delicious. We had great service. Every time we finished a plate or had room for a water refill they were there shopping it up or replenishing. My husband and I have traveled often & had sushi all over the country- not bad for... Here we are in Alaska - home of the salmon- right? Our family are sushi and Japanese fiends- love it. But not here. First they didn't want to seat us as one of our party was to be 20" delayed. There was one area left for 3 diners. We said we'd wait. They did NOT want us to do that... More
