The Moorings is the most perfect budget eatery I've ever been to, the fish is freshly caught by Captain Moko and cleaned just a few metres from the Mooring, the staff are really nice, the food is great, a must every time we travel to Raro

We had heard about the blue container and the best fish on the island...so we went looking for it and OMG it was fantastic. The food was amazing, the outlook so island style and the fact that so many people came while we were there meant it was true to its rumours!! Sooooooo yum! HIGHLY recommend!

Well worth the visit, we had been recommended this place by friends and of course all the reviews on here are great! we weren't disappointed. So glad that we checked out where it was earlier in the day and talked with the owner and she let us know that it was BYO, so along we went with our bottle of... More

Our friends had been there before and took us. The Mahi Mahi sandwiches are so fresh and delicious, not to mention large! We went back again and had the prawn and avacado sandwich which was just as delicious. Staff were lovely they come around and chat, the views are to die for right on the beach.

You can discuss if they are the best in the Pacific Islands. Sanwiches are great, the fish is really fresh (the fisherman is part of the team) and the atmosphere very convivial. Attention: if you fancy a beer with your sandwich, take it with you, alcohol is not sold on the premises and they have no issue to see you... More

Be prepared to wait and enjoy the beach surrounds, people watch etc. for the best fish sandwiches and salads. Interesting though, it was full to busting the day we went at around 1.30pm and not a local in sight. Wonder where they go for lunch??

we stopped in to The Mooring cafe at the end of our buggy tour. As part of the tour we were entitled to a fresh fish sandwich and drink. The crumbed mahi mahi on fresh turkish bread was excellent and a great way to end our tour

Everyone recommended the FOB which is fish on bread. Staff very friendly and helpful and the food was served fairly quickly. Definitely worth a... More

WOW...you cant go to Rarotonga without visiting The Mooring. Fresh fish straight from the boat. Loved the fish salads. Good prices and can bring your own refreshments/wine. We were self catering but ate here twice

We came back here 3 times during our stay in Rarotonga - beautiful, delicious burgers (LOVE the F.O.B.), relaxed setting by seaside and lovely friendly staff. Thank you so much!!
