The food and service was very good but expensive. I would not recommend a visit here though. This will serve only to fatten the pockets of those who own it especially as they exploit their staff! And they want a $5 donation from every person that enters!!!

Heard this had the best cheesecake on the island and have to agree. Overall standard of all food was great, if a tad pricey, but was in a beautiful setting and a walk through the gardens after lunch was very nice. The all fruit cocktail was very tasty.

We visited the Hidden Spirit Cafe for lunch, the gardens were nicely manicured however we found the food and drinks to be very overpriced! Would not recommend a visit as there are far nicer cafes that do not overcharge.

The café is located in the beautiful Maire Nui gardens and is a great setting to have a relaxing meal. Their menu options clearly exploit the local produce available to them with the salads not an overabundance of lettuce leaves with a few token items thrown in (which I hate) but include fresh fruit, coconut, chicken and locally caught and... This cafe is located in the middle of a botanical garden which was the main reason we went... that and we heard they had amazing lemon cheese cake! I had a tiger prawn salad for lunch, it was fresh and delicious. My partner had the chicken curry which he also raved about! The service was flawless. Really nice experience. I... More

Driving past we were attracted by the claim of best cheesecake in Rarotonga. Plus Botanical Gardens. They ask for a voluntary donation of NZD 5 each, but it is worth it. The gardens are wonderful, magical and well maintained. But take insect spray. We just had a coffee which was served in a cafetiere and...we had to try the cheesecake.... More

We were recently on holiday in Rarotonga and while driving around the island stumbled across The hidden Spirit cafe. The service was great, despite the fact they were packed and when the food hit the table it looked amazing. One of the best meals we had on the Island, definitely a 10 out of 10 for us! A must try... Four of us came across this place while driving around the island... the name and the signs for organic and fresh caught our eye - and the sign for the tiger prawn salad. The gardens were beautiful, our waiter was so friendly and accommodating - even though he had a full garden full of tables to serve. And the food... More

My favourite place and a must see in Rarotonga: a beautiful zen garden with the best fresh food and service.

I stoped in here with my daughter an ordered a curry and cheese cake to takeaway. Best meal on holiday so far! We have previously ate at the markets and numerous hotels and this topped them all! Pricey but all worth it
