If you want honest tasty genuine home cooking for dinner while on the island, then Tupuna's is bank ! A cute restaurant creatively set-up on the front deck and yard of the owners' home. Service is friendly and efficient with a no-muck-about and humorous attitude. The food is wholesome and really tasty. Decent size meals and a great atmosphere. Went... More

This restaurant has a sandy floor and is up in the hills (so wear mosquito repellant). However the food is amazing. The ika mata was the best on the island (and I tried 4 of them), the fish was so fresh and the chowder was incredible. The signature dish of tuna with shrimp, cheese and pesto sounded strange but worked... More

Four of us had the most amazing meal here last night, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with lovely staff. The seafood chowder was creamy and delectable: the raw fish salad divine; the tuna stuffed with shrimp and cheese and topped with pesto was a wonderful flavour-combination that I would never have thought of but which worked to perfection; and... This restaurant is situated outside the main village on the back roads but well worth the trip. You will need to book in advance as it is small and very popular for good reason. Excellent food, great ambiance and a great change from eating in hotels. Onelin teh and tw

I would just like to say that Tupuna is a legend in her own lunch hour!!! Myself and some friends had the honor of dining at Cafe Tupuna's and I had the Mud Crab Special!! I literally thought I had died and gone to heaven! You could taste every spice used and the prawns and mussels you get with it... More

don't mistake my rating ! the food here is the finest dining on the island and up there with the best I've had ! However the reason for a 4/5 was only because they don't cater for children and I have one! but This is typical of a lot of great restaurants around the world that i have visited .... More

We celebrated our anniversary at Tupuna's. You have to remember this is locally run and the staff are all very friendly and there is plenty of options on the menu. We choose to have a taxi pick us up and return us to the hotel which cost $30 for the return trip but worth it to arrive relaxed and dry.
