We ate at the Lindora location of Soda Tapia on our first and last nights in Costa Rica. We were staying up the street at the Aloft and the restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff. The pollo plate was quite good at 4,000 colones. It came with a large piece of barbecued chicken, beans, rice and french fries. I... More

OK it's not haute cuisine, but it's still a good place for a quick bite to eat. I was quite happy with my bean sandwich ($4) and lemonade ($2). Places like this are surprisingly rare in San Jose, which is lamentably overrun with global chains. In fact, the only other cheap eateries on the perimeter of the Parque La Sabana... More

The food was ok, more expensive than meals I've had that were of superior quantity and quality. Its open late hours however and very close to San Jose's largest park.

Came from the office for day to day lunch; asked for a "gallo de carne" which is a plate with meat; rice and beans and a natural softdrink and charged USD 10.00 for it! Flavor was not great and will never come again.

Soda Tapia, all arround Costa Rica, is a traditional 7x24 open place to meet your friends. You will find drinks all day, but, they need to improve the burgers, sorry friends!!

We ate here for lunch at 12:30pm on a Tuesday. The place was pretty busy, but the servers were very nice. They got us menus in English. We really liked the chicken nuggets and fries (hand-cut and breaded chicken tenders), and the hamburger. The ham and cheese sandwich was just ham and cheese and nothing special. The chocolate milkshake was... More

You want a cheap meal served quick then this is your place. Staff is always nice. If you are in the Escazu or Santa Ana area go to the one on Lindora Ave.

Looking for something local. Really kind staff, although our waitress spoke no English she worked with us on our broken Spanish. The portions are good, the staff is very friendly and the place is clean. No fast food meals here - local and fresh.
