We were a bit put off by the name, that this might be a tourist trap. In fact it was full of ticos who seemed to be having a great time. We ate fish and fish, both of us, but my soup was enormous, full of flavour, full of chunks of fish and seafood. Main course fish for both was... More

I have been to this restaurant many ... many times. Their food is great and the quantity is for those with big appetite. The place itself is not elegant and I would not consider it as fine dinning but please dont get me wrong you go there for the food and there is plenty of options in the menu and... More

Machu Picchu was delicious and the service was friendly. I had a rice main and a pisco sour - both delicious. Servings (like everywhere in San Jose) are relatively big so go with an empty stomach!

I have eaten at this restaurant three times since 2004 and have consistently been impressed with the quality of the food and service. If you like Peruvian food (and Pisco Sours), it is the place to go. I plan to eat there again tonight.

Started with a perfect pisco sour, then ceviche was fresh and delicious. Tried the Nikkei, Asian twist on tuna, as well as the classic. Both wonderful. Limeña Causa was a delicious surprise. Excellent service as well! Remember it is customary in CR to have your dish removed immediately upon finishing your food, and the bill is not brought until you... More

Low key place, bit pricey but everything we had was fab! Pisco sours, seafood ceviche, pulpy, seafood chaufa. Huge portions, lots of seafood, what's not to like. Very recommended.

We eat here once or twice a month because the will also adjust there selection to your desires. The staff, especially Rolando will always explain the different dishes and their ingredients in case you want to change something.... More

We found the restaurant after a fair walk from the centre, a taxi would be recommended. The menu is extensive with many styles of food to chose from. The ceviche is excellent, some of the best we had in the country. Very high standard restaurant and definitely worth a visit.

I had dinner with friends and I can only recommend to stop by if you are visiting San Jose, the peruvian food is authentic and well prepared. The restaurant is clean and the service excellent, friendly and efficient.
