The food quality was ok. The salmon was terribly overcooked and the samosas left much to be desired. However, the steamed wontons were well executed, but the Thai curry was merely pleasant. The sorbet was really delocious! Two things that stood out in this restaurant were the truly welcoming and attentive staff, as well as the restaurant concept of having... More

Tin Jo has one of the best Asian cuisine in Costa Rica, though it is little higher on the pocket. I have been to many other franchise asian/Chinese/Japanese restaurants here but Tin Jo do is nice. If you fancy asian and some good cocktails, you can even check out PF Chang. I personally love it.

My family and I walked in thinking we were going to have typical Asian food. When we got seated I noted the authentic Asian display with bamboo and really real looking fake rock. The food was superbly delicious the chicken curry is out of this world. The sorbet taster is also very good.

This was one of my favorite restaurants while I lived in San José. So much variety and choices from all over east and southeast Asia. I went probably five times during the 6 months I lived there. I especially loved the Thom Ka Gai soup. I recall the Pollo Vietnames al Vapor being great, the Thai Coconut chicken curry...and many... More

As someone who knows chinese food (I am chinese and have travelled to several places in asia) I wanted to try this place from the good reviews. I can say, the decoration and different salons are very nice and different; especially the "bamboo salon," which is very nice and romantic. At this, they are very tasteful. The food however, although... More

This place has gone so downhill over the years. Just a tourist trap right now. Some dishes mediocre, some are good and many are plain terrible. The sushi here isn't even edible. I can't understand why this ranks so highly?

Thank Charles M

Our mission is to serve delicious, healthy food in an environment that is conducive to sharing and caring. We believe that food should nourish us physically, emotionally and spiritually. Our dishes are inspired from Asian countries: China, Japan, India, Indonesia, Thailand. We have an extensive vegetarian and vegan menu as well as a gluten free menu. Our Asian themed rooms gather together all the art work we have collected as well as those created by closed friends and frequent diners. Tin Jo is our third child and we are very involved owners. We love to interact with you, our customers and it is our sincere wish that your visit to our restaurant satisfies not only your senses but also uplifts your spirit. With Gratitude,Maria Hon and Robert Faulstich
