Mocapan is a place where the smell of fresh baked goods mingle with the scent of delicious coffee. a place for handcrafted sandwiches, healthy salads and delicious bread. a place away from the daily routine. a place to meet new people and gather with old friends. a place to sit and relax. a place to be.
My boyfriend and I had breakfast sitting outside every morning of our vacation. Everything we ordered was delicious, excellent coffee and the service was wonderful. It was a nice walk from the Hotel Luisiana (which I also recommend)
Delicious food, nice variety. Grilled cheese was neither grilled nor with much cheese, so I would recommend something different. Salad was simple and fresh. Ask for 2 glasses of water because the attention is not the greatest; but on part with most other restaurants in...the central valley of Costa Rica.More
There are some really great German classics and they clearly know how to bake in a European style. Great lattes, ambiance and sandwiches. Super perfect place for brunch. Great for placing orders to-go, or even to sit in a nice environment and get some work...done with reliable wifi. I only wish they had more vegan options!More
I thought i was buying baked goods at AutoMercado, made by their AM bakers but today i learned that my favorite feta spinach roll is sold to AutoMercado, and prepared by Mocapan. Excellent croissants and many other goodies.
I wanted to have a nice brunch on Sunday and we visited Mocapan. We had a great time, the place is so confortable you really want to spend time there, the terrace is really nice. We had a variety of breads and each of us...had a different one so had a great taste between all. We had omelets made at each ones choice and a fruit plate. Great breakfast-lunch time!More
A rare gem in any country. Spotless, well run and inviting. Place your order and go upstairs if you like, or chill on some comfy chairs downstairs like we did. We ordered an Almond and a Hazelnut Croissant, which they properly heated in a toaster...oven. My Cappuccino was pleasant to behold, and smell. It was a nice place for a respite of busy Escazu. They have bread, pastries, sandwiches and more. Run by a nice German woman who speaks perfect English.More
We went on a rainy morning to Mocapan for a salad, granola and some of the pastries. The food was very fresh and tasty and the owners were walking around as well asking how everything was. Service at the counter was less friendly though and...spoiled a 5/5 rating for usMore
