The shrimp salad was awesome, cooked perfectly. Service was ok, but not great. I'de say this is a great spot for buddies, couples or families. Would I eat there again? Yes the food is ok. This restaurant is in Curridabat, so if you're in San Jose you would have to either drive or take a cab.

Nothing fancy, some distance from my hotel ( we stayed downtown) but you get to see a very local restaurant, good prices - try the lobster!

We took a taxi here from our airport hotel, on our last day in Costa Rica. This downtown area is bustling with young folks briskly returning home from the University and bus stops nearby. Situated on a bustling 'walk only' street, it is nice to sit and look out the open air windows and watch the world rush by. By... More

This restaurant has been around for ages, and for good reason! Delicious food, fair prices! All the locals know about it. Conveniently located Across from the TacoBell and Pequino Mundo. For the wise patron, order from the bocas menú, (the little menu on the table) a tiny bit smaller portions, but you could fool me, and the prices a quite... More

Had a business lunch here. On a balcony overlooking the street below made it quite noisy as its open air. Service was rushed and sporadic. Pricing was good, but expect no frills. Had higher expectations upon arrival. Food came out very fast (as it already prepared?) Was very busy with a lot of locals and business people eating so I... More

Best sea food in San Pedro local. The sea food soup is perfect as a starter, then move to the fresh fish. The locals and coworkers recommended this place. During lunch they raffle a table, you could win your table's entire check.

We went into San Jose specifically to try this oldest restaurant in San Jose and were we pleased. Everything was what it should be -service by Bennett was great, the Cesear Salad was one of the best we have had-food was prepared and presented beautifully. We really wish we had found it earlier in our stay.

I had a quick dinner with a friend of mine here and it was good as usual. The service always seems a little cold however and they have never really done anything about it. The waiters go on gabbing and gabbing between themselves like the clients are not even there but I am kind of used to it now. The... More

This is a wonderful restaurant for seafood/fish that ALWAYS has people at any hour of the day. The food is consistently excellent. Only problem is that it would be somewhat "off-the-beaten path" for a tourist. . . but definitely worthwhile. Have been there many many times and still enjoy going there for a very good meal.

Delicious food, great service, fair priced considering the quality... Food comes out fast. Highly recommend the ceviches, mariscos soup, fried shrimp with tartar sauce... It all goes great with the fun chilled bar feel and the local beers
