Good food and service, but pricey

This is a very good Mediterranean food restaurant. Well located, nicely decorated, and with excellent food and service. We had the Mesa for 3 and enjoyed all of it (a bit heavy on the meat, in my opinion). The main downside is the price. This place is not cheap at all. The Mesa is about $100 by... read more

We were staying within walking distance of Sash Restaurant, and a few people recommended it. It was the best food and very original. My husband is Middle Eastern and he loved everything. We went three times and would gladly go back. The portions are very large, and we had leftovers!! Service was great, and we were treated to the upstairs... More

The food is great and the service is superb; probably best Lebanese in town. My wife and I visit often, unfortunately is not as close to our house as we wish. I recommend the dishes to share as you get to taste more different flavors. My lust visit was for lunch but the night visits even offer a better experience... More

So we visited during a 50% promotion, so it was packed. The owner was super attentive and was always checking on his guests. The decoration was great. The food was very good, we had a couple of sample platters with every type of meat, the kabobs are great. The salad and hummus were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and over-ate.... More

Very nice little local bistro... I had some good lamb kebabs but even better were the empanadas and hummus before the meal.

The food here is of very high quality and as such is expensive. That is not a knock on Sash, that's just the way it is in San Jose. I've been there three times, had something different each time, and walked away satisfies and with leftovers to take home. I like the atmosphere, miss a big open room but you can... More

Refreshing change of pace for Costa Rica. Service was one of the best in Costa Rica. Food was not only delicious, but a cultural experience. The decoration was absolutely gorgeous. Also close to American embassy. If you ave business at the embassy, you need to try Sash for either lunch or dinner. All that said, possibly not a favorite for... More
