Costa Rica doesn't really have a national cuisine except for casado which is plain white rice, plain black beans, fried plantains and overcooked fish, meat or chicken. It is completely devoid of flavor, but you should try it once just for the experience. Look, good restaurants in Costa Rica are all very expensive. Furthermore, good food is very hard to get... More

We were guided in by the guy outside after we were asking about another restaurant. It was Saturday night and the place was empty (we should have left then). The owner said he had a great selection of small appetizers - some tiny plates of hummus $42!!!! I had the lamb as the owner kept going on about how great... More

We arrived at Restaurant Beirut at 7 pm on a Friday evening in high season and the place was empty, but we were tired from a long day of travel and were glad to be able to park close to the restaurant so we stayed. We received the same "pitch" from the owner as I now see from others here.... More

Welcoming and reasonable food but the price! On my credit card at home £123.00 for a meal for 4 - (4 drinks and 3 main meals, starter and desert). The starters were £5 each (or about that) but we were offered a selection of starters - we wrongly thought that a selection would be a taste of each, the size... More

I have been going to this restaurant over 10 years. It is absolutely the best lamb I have ever had. The owner raises his own lamb and the recipe has been in the family for generations. Have tried to get it many times without any luck. Will be back there soon. Appetizers are a must.

We love Lebanese/Greek food. My husband, son and I went for an early dinner. Owner bragged about the lamb. I asked for the kabob and was told grill was off but the wrap with lamb was about the same. OK, I ordered it. It was cold and chewy. My husband had the same his was chewy also. There was nothing... More

I had a vegetarian plate for lunch that was tasty but I left hungry. I had intended to only visit the chocolate shop next door (Sibu) but was enticed into the restaurant by a shill outside. I was the only diner there tho it was lunch time. I always enjoy Lebanese food and the very small portions that were served... More

Sadly we shared the experience that many habe described here: food is good but the prices of the specials are- once you See them on your Bill - shocking, cannot recommend this place and would never again go there.

Expensive and not good... went twice: first and last (to be fair, lamb is the special dish and we are not too much into lamb... still the price hit us hard!)
