Visiting with my co workers. Tiraditos are so recommended and the salmon tiradito espectacular. Best plate we tried. Great attention, quiet place to have a nice chat. Highly recommended

$10 - $22 per person One of the best Peruvian Restaurants in Costa Rica. Much better than any Peruvian Restaurant in the United States, and I've been to a LOT. Very fast and friendly service. Excellent presentation in all dishes and the flavors are really amazing.

Chancy is the best Peruvian Restaurant in the area. The time we both had Chaufa, which is a Peruvian Seafood Soup, large enough as a main meal. The service is impeccable, quick and attentive. Dessert, a Maracuya Mousse and a type of chocolate pudding was also delicious. Our meal was followed by a complimentary shot of Pisco. We left happy... More

You have to know a little Spanish , water was sparkling . I got the mussels appetizer but I wasn't a big fan. My meal was shrimp and scallops in a yellow sauce white rice, it was ok. I will order something different if I return.

This place was recommended to us and it didn't disappoint. In fact, it was excellent. The atmosphere is like a museum with lots of Peruvian artifacts. The food was great and would highly recommend the place.

This place was so refreshing after all the beach vibes place. It was classy, upscale, top noch service. The food was delicious and so was the wine. They had a nice selection which included many wines beyond the typical Argentina and Chile varities you usually find in CR.

Always obliging the produce gorgeous food for me without heavy sauces and creamy dishes. I do wish to share this wonderful spot... More

Located in Plaza Escazu across from the Marriott Courtyard the Chancay Resturant offers a true taste of Peru, the menu only available in Spanish offers a fairly good variety of Peruvian dishes. Decor is simple with a little of Peruvian Costa Rican mix. Seated fairly quickly, Resturant offers a second floor for diners. Not being a Spanish speaker I opted... More

The Leche de tigre is great. The atún pacífico only good. The corvina a lo macho is great too. Do not order the suspiro limeño, it is not fresh.

Chancay was my first experience of Peruvian food and I was not disappointed! I ate here 4 times during my 2 month stay & my favorite dish was Chupe de Camarones. It's a succulent & savory soup that could be a meal in itself with shrimp, vegetables & a poached egg. And wine list is great. Though none of the... More
