I'd read the reviews but decided to give this a try and am happy we did. All our meals were excellent and extra spices were provided if we wanted to add them. The restaurant was empty because it was near closing time and our waitress...was very attentive.More

Not a sparkling place. Food was average. Lomito saltado was a bit overcooked. For some reason my credit card with pin wasn't accepted by the cashier-machine. The first place in all of Costa Rica.

Not impressed at all. The restaurant was totally empty and the service was just OK. The food was about the same. I would not go back.

The food was mediocre and we felt as though it was immaterial to anyone that we were there. The waiter never stopped by mid-meal to ask if everything was alright or were we enjoying the food? or would we like anything else?.....he stopped once to...ask: are you finished? Based on the one experience, I would not return. I can't say the service was poor, but it was just meh.More

I went to this restaurant with my family the first night of our Costa Rican vacation, it was recommended to us by the Hotel shuttle bus driver. The food was edible but unremarkable. The only bright spot in any of our dishes was the seafood...soup.More

We were staying at the Courtyard Marriott near the San Jose Juan Santa Maria International Airport and this restaurant was right across the parking lot. They have an extensive menu, with lots of seafood. I ordered the octopus in garlic sauce and my boyfriend got...the sea bass with tomato and onion sauce. They were excellently prepared. The house red wine was also good quality. The band that played should be on an international tour because they were immensely talented. What was missing was the waiter's attention. He focused on only two things: the table full of young woman (who were LAVISHED with attention) and the Kung fu movie playing on the TV. We tried to get his attention so many times we were laughing at his cartoon-like refusal to make eye contact with us at all, despite being no more than 15-30 feet away from us at all times. He got no tip. But my boyfriend found the kitchen staff and tipped them and praised their cooking.More

Entree (fish) was OK if salty. There was headache-inducing noise from soccer games on big screen TVs in this restaurant and adjoining ones in a big open area. The real disappointment was ordering a chocolate dessert and receiving the display model on which the raspberry...sauce had been sprinkled hours ago, so it was completely congealed and dried out on the plate. Unimpressive. On the plus side, no mosquitoes in this open-air restaurant, important given the Zika virus. Indifferent table service.More

We had to spend the large part of the day by the San Jose airport and found this restaurant opposite the Marriott Courtyard. What a treat, we went there for lunch and liked it so much we returned for dinner. The food was fresh and...flavorful with a wide choice of dishes and friendly efficient service.More

We stopped for a dinner before our flight to US back from our vacation. The restaurant is close to the airport and on a plaza next to the Courtyard Marriott hotel. The restaurant about a dozen of menu pages. I was lost in selecting a...dish. It is definitely not an authentic Peruvian food. I would say it is a Costa Rican restaurant that claims to be Peruvian. The food is average, the rice was overcooked.More
