Freshly cooked breakfasts, sandwiches and juices. My favorite breakfast is the Tico: rice, beans and eggs with bread or tortilla - and it includes a coffee! There is an organic market there every Weds morning and an organic shop next door. Cannot say enough!

Excellent option for those who like to eat healthy food. Good variety of options for lunch. Usually a daily special. Been there a few times and love the fact that they have homemade jams and other items for sale. One-stop shop!

The food is pricey and portions are not large, on the other hand, the ilatian cook is amazing. The flavors are delicious, teas are great, I did not like the goat's milk shake, but that is personal taste. It was not cheap either. I like...this place and I will continue coming back. Purchase the bañetto. Yummmm...More

The dot in the map is far off so it was a bit hard to find. Here are the coordinates: 9.918516, -84.140143. The place is marked in Google maps (corner Calle134- Ave34). Check it from there! The food was tasty. We paid about 50USD for...two medium green salads, four wraps, two smoothies, two pieces of cake and a cup of coffee. Maybe we are used to a smaller budget but I would consider this a medium to high price. The daily special looked pretty good (8USD) but we realized its existence too late. It was said at the board that all food is either organic or grown naturally (whatever that really means). There is free Wifi.More

The wife and i enjoy our time at Cafe Buena Tierra. We browse the shop for organic goodies while the food is being prepped. We always have the plate of the day which never disappoints. Portions are small but very good. Fresh natural juices made...to order. Owner operated. If you are in a rush call before hand and order if not you might wait longer than expected.More

I love this little gem in San Antonio de Escazu. Fresh, healthy food. Farmer's market ingredients. Wholesome and good. Plus you can take home cheeses, breads, spreads, etc.!

I get a vegtable juice and enjoy the atmosphere for around 30 minutes on an empty stomach, to maximize the benefits of the juice. Then I order a meal with another juice. This makes me feel great for days. I have eaten everything on the...menu and it's all great and a few things on the menu change daily. I especially love the different soups. I will admit what the other review said is true, Buenna Terra isn't cheap, but what organic restsurant anywhere in the world is? And how much is our health worth? I actually can answer my own question, if you have your health, you have everything! So, I believe Buenna Terra is easily worth the prices they charge. Buenna Terra also has an outside area that I love, and I have met many like minded heath oriented friends there who have helped me find the Organic markets, among many other health tips. You can always pick up some organic groceries and supplies there too, because they stock many organic things and bring the leftovers from their Organic market across from the Red Cross in Escazu on Wednesday mornings. I wish I had found Buenna Terra in my first two months in Costs Rica!More

I've eaten at this place about 12 times...why would I go back when it was overpriced and has bad service? Well, to play around with Austin O'Malley's saying ("Success covers a multitude of sins."), "Organic covers a multitude of sins." Because I was strongly motivated...to eat organic, I put up with this place. But finally, I just couldn't justify coming back...one of the managers is completely clueless about how to treat customers, and the food is way overpriced for Costa Rica. For example, a small serving of gallo pinto and a tiny bit of stir-fried veggies plus tea is 4,000 colones. I now eat at Spoon! where you can get a generous helping of gallo pinto, two scrambled eggs, 3 warm tortillas, and a big glass of freshly squeezed orange juice for about 3,000 colones. And the service is much friendlier, and nobody exudes an attitude of superiority over being "organic." Whatever loss of nutrition and healthy-giving benefits I lose from eating white rice instead of brown rice in my gallo pinto is more than made up for by the good vibes I imbibe at Spoon. Easier on the wallet too, and no rude managers.More

Settled in a quiet place in old town Escazù, this small cafeteria/restaurant serves the best organic dishes only from selected healthy ingredients, mostly veggies, with a choice of organic wines and cheese. I tried a vegetable soup, the 'plato del dia', and some goat cheese:...all was well served and very tasty (and i am not a vegetarian!) If you want you can buy and take away; they have organic coffee, chocolate an biscuits too. Easy and relaxing atmosphere, good value for moneyMore

The best place for great organic food (probably the only organic restaurant and store in the area). Hosts are very friendly and they make you feel like at home. Definitely a place to recommend!
