Randomly stopped here for lunch. I had the ceviche and husband had typical lunch with beef. Both dishes were excellent. Would definitely recommend.

We came here based on the recommendation of our driver and TA. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing, 6 fried red snappers, market value was $22per fish. 5 out of the six were over fried, leathery and almost unedible. Initially they had us sit across from the bathroom, but we asked to moved inside. We had better fish elsewhere. Perhaps... More

I came here for a quick, to-go order of a burrito for my son during the evening. I was stunned to see the cook literally taking every component of the burrito from the meat to the beans out of the fridge and reheating them. She didn't even bother to cook them thoroughly and when I made a comment to my... More

Inside was too hot so sat in "courtyard" overlooking sewer ditch that smelled of rotten eggs, sometimes the port-o-john smelling bathrooms, and the diesel fumes from the cars driving by or the trash cans out front. The clouds parted to let full sun bake us. Then the trash truck came, louder than the cars and the cans really stunk thereafter.... More

Like many others, we picked this soda based on other reviews. Much smaller than expected, but the food was pretty good. We all ordered variations of casados (typical CR plate). Not a bad spot for a quick lunch.

Ate here on our trip into Quepos. Simple fare, good local food. Hubbie had casado pescado (fish) and I had pollo (chicken). Traditional rice, beans, salad and very buttery mashed potatoes with Agua Sandia (watermelon water) to drink. Nice friendly staff at a super reasonable price. Across from the bus station, kitty corner to the left with your back to... More

We just arrived after traveling far and we stopped here to get Costa Rican food based upon the reviews we read on tripadvisor. We got a great meal having chicken, rice, beans, papaya piccadillo, salad, and Maduros. For a family of seven with drinks (mostly soft drinks, bottled water, and a beer, the bill was about $60. The place is... More

When we travel we like to eat what locals eat, Soda Sanchez is one of the places to go. We paid around $10.00 dlls for dinner, two of us, drinks and all. Besides our bellies being satisfied our wallet was happy. So if you are one of those who dislikes the American menus in foreign countries and you are in... More

We stopped here for lunch. My husband had Chicken Casado, which he said was fine. There was a generous portion of Chicken and sides. I had Fish Casado, which tasted a bit "dirty". By that I mean I felt the fish tasted like it was farmed, not locally caught, which I was hoping for. Perhaps whatever fish was served is... More

This place had good food, in large portions. We had the fish casado and the vegetarian plate (salad, cheese, steamed veggies, rice, beans and plantain). My husband and son loved the fresh fish. We also ordered the patacones, which were amazing--thin and crispy and super fresh.
