We just arrived after traveling far and we stopped here to get Costa Rican food based upon the reviews we read on tripadvisor. We got a great meal having chicken, rice, beans, papaya piccadillo, salad, and Maduros. For a family of seven with drinks (mostly soft drinks, bottled water, and a beer, the bill was about $60. The place is... More

When we travel we like to eat what locals eat, Soda Sanchez is one of the places to go. We paid around $10.00 dlls for dinner, two of us, drinks and all. Besides our bellies being satisfied our wallet was happy. So if you are one of those who dislikes the American menus in foreign countries and you are in... More

We stopped here for lunch. My husband had Chicken Casado, which he said was fine. There was a generous portion of Chicken and sides. I had Fish Casado, which tasted a bit "dirty". By that I mean I felt the fish tasted like it was farmed, not locally caught, which I was hoping for. Perhaps whatever fish was served is... More

This place had good food, in large portions. We had the fish casado and the vegetarian plate (salad, cheese, steamed veggies, rice, beans and plantain). My husband and son loved the fresh fish. We also ordered the patacones, which were amazing--thin and crispy and super fresh.

Tasty lunch for a low price. It was 2500 colones for meat, salad, veg, beans and rice. Really tasty and fresh! Perfect for a quick lunch!

We went for lunch and got the typical casados lunch. The food comes very quickly and is very delicious! A very good place to go for a filling, quick lunch.

A little soda not far from the bus station. We stopped here for brunch on our way to book our zipline tour. The food is cheap and delicious! I had the huevos rancheros and it was a little off from what it usually looks like to me but it was SO SO SO tasty. Great flavors and affordable.

Seating "inside" is limited and tight but we did get a table out of the sun. Food was good, no complaints. Not amazing, but good and cheap for this town!

I ordered typical tico breakfast. Eggs ordered gently fried, served well done. Pinto was luke warm and dry. Toast dry. Then the kicker, price for this meal$3.50 in San Jose, here$6.00. I decided I would not go back before I got the price gouge.
