Our taxi driver suggested this restaurant across the street from the beach where he dropped us off. The food was very good friendly staff good view and upbeat atmosphere.

We walked from our hotel when we arrived and needed a cold drink after our long drive. This was a good spot to relax with cold beer and fruit drinks. It is on the corner so we could people watch. Because it was dark could not enjoy the beach directly across the street. The TV in the bar was set... More

My husband came here after spending the day on the beach. What brought us in here instead of the other restaurants in the area was the seafood platter for two. We started with 2-for-1 margaritas and sangria and when our food came out I was extremely happy with our decision. The service was very friendly and efficiency and the outdoor... More

Local food with good live music. We ate local food here which was good and so was the service. They actually had deep fried snickers on the menu. Cocktails available.

Both times we've taken friends here I've thought maybe we could NOT eat at a sports bar. But both times the food has been excellent!! Reasonable for a tourist resto. Wait staff were fine but not overly attentive. Drinks were great and we managed to hit happy hour which was a bonus!! Lots of footie on tv for those that... More

The man working outside to lure clients into the restaurant did not let my friend and I come in because we are French. We were confused at first and he very well clarified that it was because we were French. We were very shocked. We noticed him being pleasant with others and when some of our French friends tried to... More

Really good food but slightly aggressive staff. We ate dinner while watching the beautiful sunset. We had pina coladas and sat out front along the beachfront.

Food and service were alright, but we found it a bit pricey and the food wasn't as authentic or tasty as other nearby restaurants. Can't beat the location, though: right across the street from Playa Manuel Antonio!

If you like food, don't come here. The food is tasteless, blend, not inspiring. Actually, the few restaurants on the seaside are roughly offering the same kind of menu with the staple Gallo pinto and other Casados plus americanised dishes like burgers and pasta. Some doing better than others. But not at Hawg! My husband ordered a chicken filet which... More
