We stopped in here for our first night meal. Great costa rican food as well as good ole hamburgers and french fries served in a friendly atmosphere. Note: trip advisor listed "pizza" as a menu choice, which is not on the menu. A nice way to start vacation!

We took the advice of a few locals and had dinner at Rancho Leon during our recent visit to Manuel Antonio...and we were definitely not disappointed. In fact, we enjoyed our meal so much that we had our driver bring us back there for lunch the following day before leaving town. Best typical food in town. Be sure to try... More

The best meal that we've had in Costa Rica, bar none. Family owned & operated specializing in authentic, local cuisine. Our meal was superb from start to finish & we were treated like we were family. My only regret is we didn't come sooner, as we leave in the morning.

A little bit out of town, but not too far and taxis are frequent and not that expensive. The restaurant is great if you want the feel of real Tico food in a most enjoyable open air environment. Eaten here a few times and always the staff is very friendly and service is great. They are wonderful with children, and... More

Rancho Leon was suggested to us by the owner of The Kayak Lodge. It is located just north of Quepos and just south of Kayak Lodge, so it was very convenient. The setting is rustic, open-air, and very comfortable. Ceiling fans keep it cool. The authentic Tican dishes were excellent. The caramelized plantains were to die for. Our server (both... More

We stayed nearby at Pueblo Real and decided to give it a try. The food was tasty and the restaurant is rustic. The wind was blowing so it was not that hot.

Rancho Leon was the bride and groom's choice for their casual rehearsal dinner. The restaurant is on a main road, but is set back far enough from the highway so that road noise and dust are not an issue. The dining area is open on three sides and ceiling fans keep the air moving. There is a playground area for... More
