Our family of 5 ate here on July 33rd. Lovely building and very nice setting. Service was great. The food was good too. Way too expensive. Go to some of the places where some of the locals may eat.

We had high expectations going to Kapi Kapi after reading some positive reviews. It was a beautiful open air restaurant with friendly and attentive waitstaff. My husband ordered the snapper and it was served with eggplant and zucchini. The fish was smothered in a dense buttery sauce that was far too heavy. He had to push the sauce aside to get... More

We loved this place. We were treated like royalty. The food was perfect and wine was perfect, the atmosphere was perfect. It was expensive but that was no different than any other good restaurant in Costa Rica. People have the misconception that everything is cheap in Costa Rica. Not so. You get what you pay for. Our waiter, the owner,... More

Food quality was poor, nothing sophisticated. Tropical salad with too cooked fusilli and apple... All sauces too sweet (chinese buffet style). Rice too cooked. Raisin tomatoes not fresh. Wine too cold. Tenderloin well cooked but very small portion. Overprice overall. Go somewhere else.

Don't get me wrong.....the food was an OK mix of local Costa Rican and Asian/Chinese but OMG was it expensive. One starter, four mains and deserts and four drinks came to a whopping $174 (although in general restaurants do seem to be expensive in this area). The service was fine, as was the ambiance.

Another beautiful restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. It offered Asian food but had steaks too. Awesome.

My husband and I wanted a nice restaurant for a romantic dinner. We read the Kapi Kapi reviews so we decided to try it. We found the restaurant to be very beautiful at night. The lighting and layout is lovely. The staff members were attentive and extremely friendly. We ordered drinks, appetizers, two mains, and two desserts. Out of all... More

We ate at this spot at the recommendation of our hotel. The food was amazing, we ended up with zero left over on our plates. You must get the made to order dessert, you won't be disappointed! The service was a little slow, but nothing too bad.
