I've been going to Emilio's for many years. It has quality food, quality ingredients, and regular specials. The view is spectacular and the wait staff are friendly, knowledgable and warm. Definitely worth a visit on your trip to MA.
Emilio's has good food, great views, and above and beyond service. Bartender made us sugar free mojitos without blinking an eye and when my wife asked the waiter if it was OK to take a clipping off of a beautiful plant by the railing he said...no problema and actually went down and cut her one,and wrapped it in plastic wrap for the trip home. Great place!More

Thank u so much for your kind words always a plesure to share our place.... and plants with our guests
I now live nearby, and I want to like and support this place, but I am afraid I am never going back now. Two years ago I ate breakfast there with some friends, and I was fine when I arrived, driving over from an hour...away. One friend had the exact same thing as I did, a breakfast sandwich, except I ordered mine with tomato. Within two hours I was green from what was probably water borne bacterial poisoning, and I was in the bathroom at the marina absolutely sick at both ends, shaking and sweating profusely. A month later I thought it had to be a one time thing, and I went back and had an expensive seafood dinner, and I was promptly up at 6am absolutely blasting ALL of that out. Then I thought I can't make it three times, but my girlfriend and I tried the attached pizza place, and my pizza just did not smell great, probably because the prosciutto was bad. It didn't smell awful, it just didn't smell appetizing. And she thought her lasagna was awful and a week+ old. She didn't eat it, and I gave her some of my pizza, and both of us were in the bathroom AGAIN by the time we got home. So, a year goes by and I want to get out of the house so I go there for breakfast. And guess what? I had to race to get home to the bathroom AGAIN, and am now sitting here with a stomach ache as I write this. Fortunately I have some anti-bacterial Zithromax on-hand and already started it so I don't come down with the ferocious fever and sweats I had like the first time I ate at Emilio's. Again, I really want to like this place with the beautiful views, but there is something very wrong when you are ZERO for four visits. To boot, I received a very dark look from a kitchen employee two years ago, this as I was just joining my friends, had never been there, and am a 50-year-old man. Either Emilio's has a water supply that has been corrupted by a nearby sewage line, or they have poorly functioning refrigeration, or they have a saboteur, or all of the above. However you dissect it, I ate there four times and got sick four times, one time spectacularly food poisoned, and my girlfriend also got sick on one of those occasions. A disclaimer, I do not know the staff or the owner, I have nothing against any of them, nor do I own or support any competing business. I am simply a customer that went four times and got sick four times, including being VERY sick one of those four times.More

This was the last meal we had in Costa Rica before our red eye flight back to the states, and while sitting in the corner table on the edge of the platform looking out at the foliage and ocean before us we attempted to change...our flights and stay several extra days (unfortunately that didn't work out). It's hard to put into words how breathtaking the view from this restaurant was and the pictures only somewhat do it justice. The restaurant looks like a treehouse cutout into the side of a mountain, and is fully open concept with actual trees growing out of the wooden platform flooring. There are monkeys and birds right outside providing ample entertainment (though they don't bother the diners), and we were lucky enough to watch a beautiful rainstorm pass by while sitting at our table.
We got a full fish and the fish curry and both were absolutely delicious, so this establishment has much more to offer than just an amazing view. Definitely worth visiting during your stay in Manuel Antonio!More
We went here for dinner our last night in Costa Rica and it was the perfect end to our incredible trip. The food was really good, the service was outstanding and the ambiance is perfect. We enjoyed it so much that we stopped to grab...coffee on our way to the airport the next morning. Their coffee is top notch too!More
My wife and I loved this place, the Huevos Rancheros were the best I had on our trip and it made us want to come back for dinner. I got the Caribbean Fish Filet which was phenomenal, and decent prices as well. A MUST stop...if you are in Manuel Antonio. Beautiful view and we even saw a few monkeys!More
