Someone on the street shoved an El Sol menu in our face, and we were hungry, so we went for it. The food was great! I had ceviche and my wife had nachos and we were both very satisfied. The server wasn't super attentive, however it was very nice to be able to sit facing out to the beach, watching... More

Went here with a group of friends after hiking in Manuel Antonio. More of a locals place than the other places in town. Good happy hour prices and tasty tropical drinks. Recommended.

The teriyaki and wasabi tuna was excellent and the butter and lemon fish fillet was also really good. Good service as well.

This place had great reviews so we decided to try it out. I went with the Camarones al Ajillo (shrimp in garlic sauce), while the wife opted for the Casado w/fish. The shrimp dish was a "clean" eater's delight: Shrimp sauteed in a delicious garlic sauce served on a bed of sauteed veggies and roasted potatoes. Unfortunately, the casado was... More

Great food and service at this restaurant. Good value too for it's location. It is near the end of the road as you get near the Manuel Antonio Park main gate. It is right on the road with a counter overlooking the sidewalk and road with the beach just beyond. Great views and the food was excellent. Had the Mahi... More

We ate here a couple of times and the food was very good and the potions even big for me. I particularly enjoyed the nachos plate with lots of black beans, cheese, salsa and avocado plus the best home made nachos I have eaten - in fact non of us could stop eating them, even my wife who claims not... We wandered around Manuel Antonio looking for some good food and finally settled on El Sol after not being able to make up our minds. You walk up the stairs to the second floor where they have an open air restaurant looking over the Pacific. You can sit right on the balcony overlooking the street and ocean, but the seats... More

If you are looking for seafood, this is the best restaurant in Manuel Antonio! My mother and I have never seen shrimp this large! She had fried shrimp, and I chose pasta in white wine sauce with shrimp. Both were delicious choices! The service was excellent as well.

Food was great! Happy hour drinks from 4 to 6. The beach is across the street but not as visible as one would like with the trees either way, great place for a good meal. Parking lot nearby.

Made a stop in at El Sol with two friends to watch a soccer game. We had a sushi tuna dish that I liked so much I ordered two the very next night to take back to the EOC!
