Cool bar & restaurant. We are vegan, they were reluctant to accommodate us even though it was really easy to adjust things on their menu. The waiter was not very flexible, and just said no to a few of our suggestions. Once we managed to order and the food arrived, it was delicious :) the waiter could have been much... More

We went here for dinner tonight and order the tacos which were good. The Blackberry Margarita was fantastic but our whole experience was ruined by the waitress. She took our drink order but then forgot to bring us our drinks. Several times while we were waiting to put in our order we noticed her drinking with friends. Once she final... More

Reasonably priced for a restaurant in CR (about $40 for a large shared appy, two large mains & two alcoholic drinks). The food was really good (I had the carnitas enchilada platter & my husband had the chicken taquitos platter, and we shared the chips/pico/guac to start). Good seasoning, house-made hot sauce, meat tender and not at all dry. Service... More

Hey Jennifer, thank you for the review. We are glad to hear your time at Sanchos was a good one. I am sorry for the lack of drink suggestions by your server. We do have a full bar and can make pretty much and drink that you want, we also make some very good margaritas (Blackberry Margarita is my favorite).... More

The food here is very tasty and reasonably priced. The view off the back deck is spectacular and the Margaritas are good as well. We had fish tacos and chicken tacos and burritos all were great. The music was also a welcome instead of the brain thumping rap music you hear most places

The food is average, but you can get decent, cheap tacos. Pay a bit more for the fish tacos...they're worth it.

Get to Sanchos just before sunset and order a pitcher of margaritas - a perfect start to a fantastic dinner experience. The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. Best of all - you won't have to fast tomorrow because the prices are reasonable! The nachos are huge - so share with your friends. The fish tacos are crispy... More

Simple mexican food and beer from the primary CR breweries. We ate here twice and both times the meal was very good and the price very reasonable.

Had the burrito here and it can so quickly after ordering that it definitely wasn't fresh and tatted very standard and plain. The restaurant does have big screen TVs with sport if you like that sort of thing but I just thought the food I had was very average and I've had way better burritos from trucks let alone a... More

This place is cheap and cheerful - has a backpackers type of feel to it. The food is good and plentiful and reasonably priced. Had dinner on two occasions - the second time there was live music which was pretty good.

We stopped in for take out. The music was lively and loud. We enjoyed the vegetarian burrito, which was delicious. Good value.

Description
When we sat down and discussed the menu for Sancho's we agreed the menu had to have 3 things; fresh ingredients, big portions, and in a country where we believe things to be a little bit on the expensive side, fair priced meals. As far as the type of food we serve, people say Mexican, I say Mexican inspired. We make food we enjoy in hopes that our guests feel the same way. A lot of preparation and love goes into each dish that comes out of our kitchen. A majority of our meals do have some level of spiciness to them, if that is your thing give us a try. We have a full bar, we make fresh margaritas, no artificial sour mix in our drinks. Sancho's is a laid back vibe, feel free to come in after the beach and not have to worry about a dress code. We hope you give our little restaurant a try while you are in Manuel Antonio.
