Outstanding food with a super fun vibe! After a day of deep sea fishing the chef prepared our tuna several delicious ways! All of the sides were so amazing and fresh. Loved the outdoor ambiance and all of the wonderful wait staff.
This restaurant is absolutely awesome! They are attentive! With great food! We actually brought our own fish there and they did a fabulous job with it! We ate breakfast there also! Enjoyed watching the animals! I highly recommend you to stop in.
Went for dinner on a Monday night at 6:30pm and there was no one there, which we thought could be a good thing to make the dinner more romantic. After half an hour a few more groups showed up but it remained mostly dead, a...bad omen. We were informed that several items were no longer available and that the menu was about to change permanently in a few weeks. The King Burger is no longer on the menu. We both got Z Classic Burgers and they were nothing to write home about. Definitely not bad food but certainly not noteworthy. The fries were generic fast food style and not fancy wedges or beer battered, etc. The meal cost us $40 with gratuity (we did not order drinks), which for Costa Rica is EXPENSIVE. A saving grace was the hospitality of the waiter, which was excellent. He did a great job and his service should be recognized. I have a feeling that the lunch atmosphere may be different and that possibly the seafood dishes are better; however, I am allergic to seafood so could not judge their merit. Please note that the owner just sold Z Gastro Bar in Marina Pez Vela!More
This is one of the best places we found. And the owners couldn’t be more welcoming! He even prepared our catch from fishing with no questions and it was AMAZING!!! Must try if in Manuel Antonio Costa Rica. You’ll feel like family! Great animals to...look at while eating. Nice pool for the kids or just to cool off. Thanks for having us guys!More
Finally! After too many over priced and under delivered local meals we’ve found a jewel!!! Perfect service Excellent food Lovely decor First time in and boy! Did we hit the jackpot! The best food in town! And this after eating in almost every restaurant from...Avion to the marina. Service too was excellent. Very attentive and helpful. This will be our “go to” place for all meals!!!More
Does not meet the standard set by the area. The food (burger with fries) was average at best. This tired location does offer a large pool with some umbrellas for shade and may be fun if going with groups that bring the good time. I...went by myself while my wife was at the gym. I wanted to try a new place. It was a mistake. If the reviews could be described as “fine” then that’s what this was. Find. More money than it was worth. The staff was friendly so that’s always nice.More
They prepared our fresh mahi mahi from a fishing trip for us, and it was the best meal I've ever had. Warner and Luis were extremely friendly and made us feel like friends. Dont miss this place for a quick drink or nice dinner. Great...poolside view & service.More
Okay, so I thought I posted this in March—but now that I am on here doing some research, I see that it never actually posted. Our waiter, Warner, definitely deserves a good review and while this rewritten post might not be as long, I will...try to remember as many details as I can. My Fiancé and I stopped by Z Poolside completely at random one day. We ordered some lunch, I had a glass of sangria and octopus ceviche. The ceviche was absolutely incredible, it seemed to have some thai influence with a coconut/lime broth and the octopus was very tender. We loved it so much that we came back two more times in the four days that we spent in Manuel Antonio! But the people of Costa Rica are so incredibly kind and when we returned on the second afternoon, Warner immediately remembered us and came over to say hello and ask how our trip was going. After lunch, he brought us some homemade amaretto and a piece of chocolate—this was outstanding as well, it tastes like a chocolate-covered cherry. One day, we brought our friends back for lunch and we all went swimming in the pool after. Around 2:00 a family of spider monkeys paid us a visit, I guess they come through about the same time each day so we got some great photos of them. We cannot wait to return to Manuel Antonio to visit Warner again, this is such a special place!More
We went for the Sunday night pool party and what a totally over hyped place this was. By fair the biggest con we have come across in Costa Rica. We had 2 colas, 1 hamburger and fries and an extra portion of fries and it...cost us $60!!! Insane and rubbish food. The burger was lukewarm. Extremely disappointing.More
